I had the most amazing cookie earlier. The cafe in our business complex is under new management, so they've been giving stuff away all week, and today it was Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. I took a freshly baked Red White & Blue cookie, which contained cranberries, blueberries, and white chocolate. I never would have thought of putting berries in a cookie, but it was out of this world.

Last night I went to a Redbirds game with Kathy and Daniel, since Bible study was canceled. It was a great game, and we won 6-0. :) Tonight I am planning a quiet evening of reading. I have to finish Wheel of Time book 2. I've never had such a hard time finishing books before, but they're starting to get more interesting. Yay.

I keep typing things and then deleting them. Nothing is interesting enough to talk about here. I hope you're all having a good day!

At church last Sunday, there were cookies with cranberries in them. Absolutely delicious. I concur. (-:

We need a cafe here! The closest place to eat is the Silo, which is pretty much a bunch of small fast-food restaurants in one building. Not very healthy, and usually not very cheap. d-:

I really dislike the name Redbirds. They will always be the Memphis Chicks to me. :)

Berries in a cookie - marvelous idea! Fruit makes everything better. =D

You don't live in Memphis now, do you? How long did you live here?

I like Redbirds better, but I'm non-traditional. :) Chicks just makes me think of fuzzy yellow chicks. With tiny baseball caps on. Not a very threatening team name. LOL

Yeah, that's like our Tiger Den at Memphis. But the company that runs the TD is the one that just bought our cafe. It's ironic because I've often referred to the cafe as the "grown-up Tiger Den." :)

No, I don't live there now. :) I was born in Memphis, and I know we lived there off and on at least 2 or 3 times, but I'm not sure how long. I have fuzzy memories of going to a Chicks game. :D

Redbirds doesn't sound threatening either. ;)

Oh, okay! :)

Maybe not, but at least redbirds could beat their wings in your face or something in defense. Chicks would just sit there cheeping. Maybe, if they were older chicks, they'd poke you with their beaks or something. :)

Otis Spunkmeyer? I remember those from college. If I recall accuratly, they were high in calories. I prolly only had 2 or 3 but they ARE great cookies, all of them.

that sounds like one delicious cookie! yum! I've never had a cookie with berries in it, but for some reason it does appeal...

That's Aramark... When I visited Shana in Texas, I saw that Aramark also does the food for Southwestern Seminary. ;)

If you think books 1 and 2 are slow, my suggestion is to stop now. =) My sister loves that series, but later on (book 7 if I'm not mistaken) he spends 1000 pages describing just one day. So you read the whole book, and while it is interesting there is very little progression. I don't think I made it past book 5. I'm not trying to be discouraging, but I just wanted to warn you.
