chestnutcurls: (nice hair)
Hey. So, um, you know how I had those blonde highlights? Well, now...through no fault of my own...they're red. I just spent a very harrowing two hours at the salon. I wanted to get my roots touched up before my birthday. Kelly, my hairstylist, offered to make the highlights a little darker, since they were so drastic. But something went terribly wrong. After the first round under the dryer, I had fire-engine-red hair, so she had to foil my head again with some sort of darkening dye and stick me under the dryer again. Then it was time to shampoo, and the color was still pretty crazy, so she covered my whole head in some other darkening stuff. I was practically having a heart attack in the chair. (I'm still shaking from the stress.) But when she finally brought me out to cut my hair, it looked great! Everything that was blonde is red, and it looks so much more natural. This is actually what I had in mind when I got the highlights the first time - less Rogue and more Willow. So, while that was definitely not the route I would have taken to make the transition, I'm happy with the results. Whew. Now, not only have I been to both coasts in 2003, but I've also had every major hair color. :)

I'm pretty sure I had something else to say, but now it's flown right out of my head.
