November Book List
Dec. 1st, 2009 01:51 pmForget About It by Caprice Crane
I love Caprice Crane! This novel is about a woman who's tired of her crummy life and being treated like a doormat, so when she has an accident and her family thinks she has amnesia, she decides to go with it and start over. :) Only her best childhood friend knows the truth. It's funny and satisfying and there are twists I didn't see coming.
English As A Second Language by Megan Crane
A novel about an American girl's grad school experience in England. It was entertaining enough that I read the whole thing on the plane from Savannah to Memphis, but Megan Crane's more recent books are much better. The main character was drunk for at least 75% of this book and it got old. Read Frenemies instead. :)
Along For The Ride by Sarah Dessen
Classic Sarah Dessen. The heroine in this one is a genius from a broken family who never had a chance to be a kid...and of course, she goes to the beach for the summer and meets a mysterious guy who helps her reclaim her childhood. LOVED IT!
Target Underwear and a Vera Wang Gown by Adena Halpern
A series of essays about the role specific clothes, and fashion in general, have played in the author's life. I think they were originally published in Marie Claire. Fun stuff.
