Do we know this baby?
Jun. 21st, 2002 12:50 pmEveryone say hello to my new friend,
tingilya. She's very entertaining. And our number of mutual acquaintances is growing rapidly. :)
Very random things I'm pondering today:
- How are Anne Geddes babies going to feel when they're grown up, knowing that their (sometimes naked) baby pictures are being displayed as art in thousands of homes all over the world? Not to mention on stationery, checks, photo albums, and address books.
- Along the same lines: the Olsen twins. These girls started a long-term TV gig when they were several months old. How does someone, as a parent, make a decision to do that to their children? How do you choose a career for a baby, knowing that they will grow up in that, and likely stick with it because they don't know any other life? That bothers me.
- Something that has always driven me nuts: unclear writing of the letter "g". What I mean is when you can't tell if it's supposed to be a lowercase g that's just larger than the other letters, or a capital g with an abnormally large and decorative cross-line (or whatever that's called). I see it a lot on logos (Goldsmith's is one example). Has anyone else ever noticed this, or am I just loca?
I didn't get my papasan last night, after all. The back burner of someone's life is not a happy place to be.
