Floridians, take note

My sister is filling out college applications. She just called me to ask what nationalities we have in the family (which is ironic, since we had a survey on this the other day). She told me what she had already written, and the last thing was "Miami." I was sad to point out that Miami is not another country. :) But it turned out that my sister was going down a list of other nationalities on the application and circling what applied to us. And Miami was on the list. How weird is that?

Where is jessecho today?

maybe you've been wrong all your life and didn't realize you have dual citizenship as an American and a Miamian. You could have probably gotten a lot more in scholarship money and stuff too.

Yeah, apparently so, since that's what she's filling out the forms for! It's so weird. Of course, these are small private Tennessee colleges she's applying to, so I can see how Miamians would be considered "foreign." Probably anyone who can speak a language besides English is classified as "foreign." :)
