My coworkers just surprised me with cake! Yay! :) Here's Jessica and Lawson's survey.
1. If you came into contact with someone who had never watched any movies, what are three that you would highly recommend they see first?
For a good blend of action, drama, special effects, plot, romance, and comedy: The Matrix, Forrest Gump, and When Harry Met Sally.
2. If you came into contact with someone who had never read any books besides the Bible, what are three books would you recommend they read first?
This is really hard! Lord of the Rings trilogy, Little Women, and...um...The Sun Also Rises. :) I don't know, I'm not really into the Big Old Classic Books. I know I should be (Kathy just read Anna Karenina), but they just don't interest me that much. I know, it's shameful.
3. Do you consider yourself to be...(answer how much of this quality you think you have and maybe some examples to back it up)
Silly/Goofy? Yes. I mean, look at the kind of stuff I find amusing.
Laid back? Not so much. :( I'm getting better about some things, but in general I like things to be defined. I like to know what's going on.
Outgoing? Friendly, yes, but not outgoing. I am an INFJ. :)
Hyper? Once in a blue moon, and only with Kathy. :)
Depressed? Unfortunately, yes. I get depressed easily. Not clinically depressed. Just bummed. But as long as I'm around other people on a regular basis, I'm usually fine.
Hungry? Often, but not at the moment.
Open? I don't mind trying new things. But I'm not open beliefs-wise, in that "We all believe the same things, we just see them differently" way. There is Truth and Untruth. I'm willing to hear what other people have to say, but they're not going to change what I think. :)
Social? Yes. I like people.
Lazy? I can be. I enjoy sleeping much more than I should.
Talkative? With friends.
Indulgent? Yes, mostly because I don't like confrontation.
Affectionate? Yes. I'm a huggy person, but I'm surrounded by non-huggy people, so that is something I have to squelch. :P
4. What was one of your favorite years in school and why?
I think fourth grade was probably my best year. My teacher was Mrs. Sweeney, my favorite teacher ever, who I still keep in touch with, and she made everything fun. I remember winning "Terrific Kid of the Week" once. :) It was also my last year in Miami, and I had a lot of fun with my school friends that year. Also, I think the relative horror of my first few Memphis years made that year even brighter by comparison. :P
5. What's one of the most spontaneous things you've ever done?
Gosh, I've never really done any big spontaneous things. A few years ago, during one of the 3 am fire drills in our dorm, Kathy and Em and I went to Howard's Donuts wearing only our pajamas. We thought that was pretty adventurous. :) As Jessica says, I need to get a life. :)
