chestnutcurlsIt's amazing how soaking up creation can make you feel better. I've been in an awful mood lately, but it's a pretty day today, so I decided I should go to the park and eat lunch. The sunshine, fresh air, trees, geese, and Chick-fil-A garden salad all did me a world of good. I am no longer fighting the urge to burst into tears or go postal on the next person who talks to me. :)
Today I'm remembering how one of Harris's favorite things to say at Bible studies was, "As Christians, we're not struggling to be free; we're free to struggle." As I get older I realize more and more how true that is. Sometimes I feel spiritually worn out. I get so tired of struggling with myself. But I'm already safe and free in Christ. My downfalls and problems seem huge to me, but the big problem of my sin has already been taken care of by Christ. So everything else is really just...dust on the table. That's a comfort to me.
Kathy called this morning, so now I know she's still alive. :P I'm starting to wonder if I really want to go on this Nashville jaunt. I'll be riding there with Daniel's aunt, whom I've only met once; and I thought I'd be coming back with Kathy, but she told me that I will go back with the aunt and she and Daniel will go back with Daniel's mom. Okay. I guess I have to go, though, since they're being hospitable and letting me have their extra ticket.

chocomilkbanana, since it's going to be kind of crazy, I won't be able to meet up with you even if I do go. Sorry. :( I have confidence, though, that we will meet another time. :)
