I just wanted to post and say thank you to [livejournal.com profile] dakoda and [livejournal.com profile] tingilya and [livejournal.com profile] nova_wylde for all the fun mail I've gotten recently! Thanks, guys! I feel very loved. :)

Last night I finished Where the Red Fern Grows. The ending was so sad that I actually had to sit for several minutes collecting myself before I could lay down and go to sleep. The only other book that's made me cry that much is Return of the King. Those are mainly happy tears, though. :)

Tonight I am going to Outback for a nice dinner with my sister and some of her friends from church. I'm looking forward to it.

I have already had too much sugar today, and am feeling the effects. I went home at lunch and ate a peanut butter sandwich just to balance my blood sugar. We're having cake in a while, though, so that'll probably throw me off again. It's kind of good that the sugary holidays are few and far between.

I bought a cute, round, plush pink strawberry for my sister. It has a little face and arms and legs and is very friendly-looking. I'll post a picture of it later.

I always cry when the minstrel stands up to sing the lay of nine-fingered frodo and the ring of doom. And Sam is overwhelmed. I think that Sam is my favorite character in the book. He seems to be the true hero.

Oh, gosh, I do too. I literally cry my way through that book. It's so emotional.

Yes. I love Sam. He's just amazing and noble and heroic.

His response to the temptation of the ring is great.

He's truly selfless.

Well, that's only because he hadn't yet grown attached to it as Frodo had. We know that the same thing would have happened to him. Remember when Gandalf said that the ring corrupts everything? The only thing not corrupted by the ring was Tom Bombadil... but he didn't make it into the movie. :P

What's not to love? :)

Aw, you're welcome! :) You have every reason to feel loved. It's obvious you are, plus, you're a wonderful person and you've been a great friend, and you deserve to be loved! *hugs* :)

I just might hafta check out Where the Red Fern Grows, and maybe even Return of the King too. They sound really interesting.

Hmm..
Now how come I am never emotional when it comes to books. I suppose I break into tears over my diary. Come to think of it I think I've cried over Lassie Come Home. ::Sniff:: that's such a sad book. =(
