Even as I type this, I am disgusted with myself because every single one of my Monday entries is about what I did last weekend. I hate to be boring and cliche. But I did a lot of stuff! I want to talk about it! Okay?

My Valentine dinner with sister and co. was fun. I hadn't been to Outback in years, and I hadn't had Bloomin' Onion for many years, so I couldn't stop eating the onion and exclaiming about how good it was. I probably gained five pounds just from that, but what an experience. :) I ended up spending the night at my parents' house. This proved to be wise, because back at the apartment, Kathy had a 5 a.m. roach encounter that would have sent me into a complete panic.

Debs and I went to see How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days the next day. I liked it. We also saw a preview for a new Mandy Moore movie, which I am now anxious to see. Afterward, I went back to the apartment for my Girls' Night Out with Kathy. We had invited many girls, but no one could come, so we went to Pizza Cafe by ourselves. I was glad to have some girl time with her. :) We went back to the apartment and watched Notting Hill while doing our nails. Suddenly MaryElaine & Royce called, asking us to go to a late showing of Daredevil with them, so we happily accepted. It was like old times. :) I decided I liked Spider-Man better, though.

You know your nails are too long when they start impairing your typing. :P They look so nice, though!

I went to my new dentist this morning for a cleaning. I already like her, because she didn't recommend that I have my wisdom teeth removed! Yaaay! None of my wisdom teeth have come in or given me any problems, yet I've been dodging oral surgeon referrals for years. This may be because my mouth is about the size of a peanut. As a child, I had to have permanent teeth taken out because there just wasn't room for them. I guess this makes dentists nervous. :P Anyway, I am glad to have clean teeth, and a reprieve.

Haha... I just posted about how you and Jessica hadn't posted yet. I wonder how long it will take Jess to post now? :P

I was looking at your lists, and I was thinking... yes, that's right, uh huh... until I got to your "Five songs for dancing". You definitely have ghetto influences. ;)

I recommend that you run out and buy this not the cheap battery one it must be the 3d excel pulsating. it is all in the pulsating the only powered tooth brush prover better then a regular brush. It will be great for you since you have a small mouth. It has two speeds but I always use the slower one. You and Kathy can share the unit and just switch the heads (http://www.oralb.com/products/product.asp?tid=products&sub=power&cid=power&pid=3dexcel)

I don't want to get my wisdom teeth out, either!!! My dentist/orthodontist was telling me how I needed to get mine out, and I was like "No thank you! Jesus didn't get His out, so I don't need to get mine out!"
lol I'm quite stubborn sometimes;)

I actually haven't been to the dentist since 2000. The last time I went was early 2000. And the last time I saw my orthodontist was of course when I got my braces off in November of 2000. They left me with a Tennessee smile 'cause I'm missing one tooth (sorry, couldn't resist). They had to remove a lot, which was one of the reasons I needed braces, my baby teeth hadn't come out and the teeth behind them were causing the rest of my teeth to shift in odd directions (I had one front tooth that was totally and completely sideways!).
Anywho, they removed three, one tooth came on it's own, another needed to be pulled in (yes, it IS as painful as it sounds!!!!), and the other just kinda sat there. And sat there. Annnnd sat there. I had the surgery in '98, and my orthodontist kept saying he wanted to wait and see if the tooth would ever come in on it's own. Then in 2000 he took more X-rays and decided that there was no way it was coming in, because it was almost totally sideways in the gums, and then he goes "Okay, you've got two options. We can either remove that tooth completely, because it's *never* going to come in, and then put in a replacement tooth to fill the gap. Or, you can just leave it and keep wearing your retainer every night and leave it at that."
So I go "Well then I just want to leave it." and he just kinda looks at me for a minute and then goes "Okay, but you can't just leave it, it has to be removed."

I'm sitting there going, why in sam philly did you give me the option if I can't take it?!?!
lol Anywho, so now it's been 5 years since the surgery, and I still have done nothing about it. I don't want any more oral surgery, it scares me!!! The only fun part is being sedated. That surgery was where I got my Dakoda from. My mom bought him for me because she was all sympathetic towards my half sedated drooling self. lol

Well. Not that you needed to know any of that. But hey, it's the beef that comments are made of. ::nods::

Wow, that's a lot of tooth trouble! I know what you're talking about, with pulling the tooth in. My sister had that done, and now my brother has to have it too. Thankfully, that was the one procedure I did not need. :P I starting having teeth pulled when I was seven years old, and I got my first retainer at eight; the whole thing wasn't finished until I was sixteen. So I know plenty about dental procedures. :)

Yeah, really! I'm sure as soon as I go to the dentist again there's going to be talk of getting the surgery. I haven't gone in so long because my dad made us switch dentists, and we have this seriously ghetto dentist now that I would not trust with my finger nails, let alone my teeth! He's been working on getting a new one, but it hasn't happened yet, and I'm not going till we get one. ::nods::

Ahhh, your poor brother! It was so painful. Every time I had to go get the bands changed on my braces, I would about die when he had to change the band on the tooth that was being pulled in, because it hurt like no other! I was squeazing the armrests on that chair so hard, I almost screamed a few times. It was just horrible!

Did you ever have braces? I hate my retainer. I have to wear it every night for the rest of my life. They say that if I were to get my wisdom teeth out and get my other tooth removed and the replacement put in, I would only have to wear it every Sunday night. ::sigh:: I can always dream. lol

You must have the same problem I have! They told me the same thing! That's why everyone wants me to get my wisdom teeth out; supposedly if they ever come in, my mouth will be ruined and I'll have to start all over with the braces and everything. But I stopped wearing the retainer sometime in college and nothing bad has happened to me.

Switch dentists! :)

Really? Your teeth haven't been shifting or anything?
Maybe it's just the fact that I've still got that one tooth in the gums, 'cause my orthondontist said it would keep knocking the other teeth out of line if I didn't keep my retainer on. And sometimes I'll go a week or so without wearing it, and then when I wear it again, it REALLY hurts, which is because my teeth have been moving and it's putting them back into place. So I would definitely not be confident about not wearing it anymore, 'cause I definitely don't EVER want braces again. Once is enough!
