who do you think you are
Dec. 17th, 2003 03:06 pmHappy birthday, Bethany! I hope you have a wonderful birthday and an exciting twentieth year. :)
My sinuses are rebelling again. With each passing illness, I become more convinced that my workplace is making me sick. That, or our climate in general. No sooner do I get over something than I'm sick again. It would be nice to go a month without a sinus infection.
I had a very fun night last night. Evan and I went to the RUF Christmas party, mainly because they were watching the bowl game and we don't have cable. Debra came with us. Casey and Alli and several other old-schoolers were there, and I was glad to talk to them. In the end I didn't pay much attention to the game, but it was very exciting when we won! Go Tigers Go! (Tommy West, in his post-game interview, said this is the beginning of a great tradition and "just scratching the surface." We felt this comment doomed us to a horrible season next year.) Then we flipped over to the Grizzlies game in time to see them beat the Kings. What a great night for Memphis sports!
At some point during the party Luke parked himself at the piano in the dining room. He played one of his original songs for us, which was about a girl who happened to be in the next room. He's a very talented songwriter. When he was done I said, "Hey, could you write a song about me?" and he and Ryan cracked up. It turns out that Ryan said he should write a song about me once, and it turned into a mean song that he couldn't repeat. But he swore that he totally made up all the mean stuff. I didn't know what to say to that. :P
I was in a bad mood earlier, but I just received a tower of Ghiradelli chocolate from my co-workers in the Connecticut office, so now all is well. I love those people. I'll have to take a picture of the tower- the boxes are really pretty. I'm sure I can reuse them.
Just under five hours until ROTK!
