I am so, so excited that I get to meet
salemgirl this weekend! And
calypsobard! And I don't even have to leave town! :) What a happy surprise. Yaaay!
I had a great session with my Streets tutoree, Yolanda, yesterday. We did an exercise where you make up a sandwich and write a radio commercial about it, using lots of adjectives. It was a lot of fun; she had me laughing hysterically with her descriptions. "This sandwich is so outrageous, it'll make you want to smack your friend!" What a great kid. I'm so blessed to be able to work with her.
American Idol didn't impress me much last night. Clay was great, though, of course. And Blonde Kimberly, while not that outstanding vocally, looked absolutely beautiful. Why can't my curly hair look like that? Oh...because I don't have a personal stylist. :P
For your viewing pleasure:

I've taken these pictures over a week or so. I love to look at the trees.

I like to see trees all in a row.

The tree that Anne called the Snow Queen in Anne of Green Gables must have looked just like this. I pass this tree twice a day, and marvel at its beauty. :)

Another tree in that same yard.

Kathy thought it would be fun to put some leftover Mardi Gras beads on Gandalf.

He looks sphinxy in a Bourbon Street kind of way. :)

What are my minions doing over there?
