No me gusta el lunes. Especially when I have had a crazy (and fun) weekend with very little rest.

Friday: A whole horde of us went to the Greek Food Festival. It was delicious. :) I began to doubt my ancestry when I noticed that all the Greek women there looked just like me, with dark curly hair and something similar about the nose. I called my mother to ask if she was sure we weren't Greek. She laughed at me. Ryan, Luke, Myla, her boyfriend, and I moved on to Applebee's, where we had drinks and encountered another weird waiter. Then we tried to go see A Mighty Wind, but it was sold out, so we saw Identity instead. Please, someone see this movie so I can talk freely about it!

Saturday: I had a nice afternoon helping Kathy and her mom with the gardening. Then I went to this year's excellent performance of ENCORE with my sister, at her high school- she wasn't in it this year. At intermission, I ran into Ryan in the crowd with his quasi-girlfriend and another girl, which was nice since I had invited him to come and he said he was going to a baseball game. I stood around and talked to them after the show. QG and her friend were talking about how big the school atrium was. I said, "Yeah, this place is huge." The friend looked at me, and in the very voice of Elle Woods, said, "Do you go here?" Yippee.

Sunday: I went to church with my family for Mother's Day. It was nice to worship with them again. Well, with my dad, since my mom was working in the nursery. At one point I went there to tell her something, and her 15-year-old nursery assistant saw me. Later, my mom mentioned that I was her "older daughter," and the girl was shocked that I was not her age. After church, we had Mother's Day lunch at Chili's. As we were being seated, the hostess looked directly at me and asked my parents if we needed any children's menus. For the third time in twenty-four hours, I was mistaken for a fifteen-year-old. Someday I will be happy when this happens. Anyway, then we went to see It Runs In the Family (which was awful- don't waste your money). In the evening I went to Jamie's graduation party, and then to Starbucks to meet Lisa! Yes, Lisa is just as cool and pretty as Jessica claims. :) We had a fun talk. I was so glad to meet her. Hopefully she will come back to visit this summer, and we can really hang out. Yay!

Yay, you got to meet Lisa! She told me you might and I was so excited. :)

Was Identity gory? Domonik wants to see it and I like scary movies but only if they're just creepy but not gross.

Yes, yay! It was fun.

Yeah, it was pretty gory in parts, but I just didn't look. I hid behind Ryan and he told me when the coast was clear. :) For about ten minutes or so, it seemed like I was constantly not looking and I was like, "Am I going to get to see any of this movie?" But then it got better. And the ending was so totally creepy that it made the whole thing worth it. :)

I'm sorry. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. I wasn't even sure if we'd be able to get together, since I didn't know when she'd get in town, and I had to go to Jamie's party. And we had just talked about it recently in Shana's journal, so I thought you remembered, and you hadn't called me about it. I'm sorry.

This makes for two clubs you and I need to start. People always think I'm 13 or 14. No matter what I do, it's always the same!

A funny memory off the top of my head...almost two years ago when I went to buy my acoustic guitar, the guy at the store was helping me to figure out what size I needed. He gave me a really big one and had me sit down with it and try to play it. And he's like "I think that's a really good one." And I go "Isn't it just a little bit big?" And he goes "Oh no, you'll grow into it."
At that point I just stopped, then I looked at him and said "I'm 18." And he was like "Oh..." And he slowly took the guitar away and softly said "Let's just get you a smaller one then..."

Why? lol

LOL!

Yes, now we share klutziness and perpetual youth. Once we've figured out all the other things, we can come up with a fitting name for our club. :)

lol Definitely.
I've got way too many instances with the age thing. Goodness sakes, someone actually thought I was Missy's daughter when we went to the Lorain concert! And it doesn't make things any better that if you're under 21, you need a "guardian" for the cruise, so Missy is going to be my guardian! I can't ever catch a break lol
We were joking about that, and how there's a place for kids 2 - 15 on the boat called "Camp Carnival". I told Missy: "Oh you know I am SO there, who's gonna think I'm too old? Mwuhahahahaa...."
Then we just kinda stoppd laughing, realizing how pitiful it really was. lol

wow, people thought you looked 15? Lucky! People think I look so much older than I am...somtimes it's good, and somtimes not. :S It really starts to get on my nerves when people ask, "are you SURE your 14?" My goodness...

I used to get age comments like that all the time just a couple years ago, like when I was 24 people thought i was 16 or 17. I got carded going into R-rated movies and when i interviewed for a high school teaching position one high school girl started talking to me in the hallway thinking i was a new kid. Things like that don't happen too much anymore, though. i think teaching the last two years has caused my appearance to age. i actually found a grey hair earlier this school year. But when i was visiting new churches back in january and February, people at two different churches gave me info about the high school youth group thinking i'd be interested in joining. So, maybe I haven't aged so much.
