Goodbye, Veronica Mars.
May. 23rd, 2007 10:34 amOkay, I didn't see most of the first hour because I was watching Idol, though I did catch enough through flipping to follow it (I also have it on tape). So my thoughts may have holes. :)
For a finale that didn't know it was a finale, I thought it was appropriate in a lot of ways. The series began with Veronica and Keith as outcasts, facing the world together, and to a lesser degree that's kind of how it ended. I felt like we got our moments with most of the main characters, too.
The "Bad Day" song, "Where is he?" times two = HILARIOUS.
I gasped when they showed that portrait of Lilly, but figured it out before the commercials were over.
I don't know if I missed it or just forgot, but when did Weevil get the injury that caused his limp?
I would have thought Veronica would be in SERIOUS danger after releasing the member list for the secret society. Like that other girl isn't going to tell everyone regardless of what Jake Kane says. :|
SO typically male: It drove me nuts that when Dick was trying to open up to Logan about his guilty brother feelings, Logan tried to make it all better by saying "Hey, let's go catch some waves." GAH.
Of course I'm very upset that we didn't get a Veronica/Logan reunion, but they did come to some sort of understanding. That's better than nothing, I guess. :(
I may add to this later but that's all I can think of right now. So much was unresolved. I wish they could do a REAL finale, but I'm sure the CW won't agree to that. They wouldn't even acknowledge that it was a series finale! Insult to injury. I've had it with them and their 25 Pussycat Dolls.
