TGIF! Today I'm having lunch at Fino's with Nina and some other work people. Fino's is Kathy's favorite restaurant, so much so that she tried to convince me to move to the apartment complex next door to it. (Like I would leave my location across the street from McAlister's. Please. :)) It should be a fun lunch, but I'm worried because I know it's going to take more than an hour and I already took an extended lunch yesterday. I can make it up, and my boss doesn't mind, but I never like to look irresponsible.

My massive, nauseating headache returned last night, almost as soon as I walked out the doors of my work building. I spent the evening lying feebly on the couch with a heating pad under my head to ease the pressure. MaryElaine came over and took care of me- it was really nice of her. I can feel the headache coming back, but I took an Allegra this morning, so hopefully that'll keep it at bay. Everyone in my office is feeling the same, which is really unusual for summer. This morning on the Today show they had a special report about all the weird weather - record highs in Europe (I feel for you guys, Fraser), cold temperatures in the Atlantic, droughts and fires in Texas. As the Ghostbusters would say, real end-of-the-world type stuff. :)

I took pictures in several kinds of light so you could get a more general idea. Unlike the blonde streaks, these look really different in different environments. I worked up all the energy I had for the posing. :)

Beautiful! I really like those! I feel your hair dying pain. I died mine fun red for a year, but then dying it back to the original brown last summer was really a big ordeal.

Sorry about your headaches too. I'm sending soothing vibes your way. We're doing Panera for lunch, and I'm so excited!

Thanks! :) Yeah, this is why I resisted coloring my hair for so long. It's an endless cycle. Hopefully, the red will look more natural as it grows out and I won't have so much upkeep.

I hate myself when I make these kinds of comments, but since I'm such a Ghostbusters geek, I have to point out that the Ray Stantz actually said "Real Wrath of God type stuff". When I was five, I could quote that entire movie by heart, so I give you the fount of my mis-spent youth.

I thank you for your heat sympathy. Today has been a lot better than yesterday (in which I went to the library to get some air conditioning and they closed the library early - 20 minutes after I got there).

And I'm loving that 'forces of evil' image, although I think you should be fighting the Axis of Evil, since I heard the Forces of Evil aren't so hot anymore. At least, not since the rebels kicked their butt on the moon of Endor.

I've never been checked, but I don't think these are migraines. These are all sinus-related, from what I can tell. They're like pockets of pressure all over my head. I have a lot of sinus problems, and they get worse every year. I don't understand why I'm having them in summer, but it wouldn't surprise me if the trees were confused and releasing pollens early. :P

And I know your pain. I dyed my hair for the first time this May. It's supposed to wash out in a month, but it's been 3 and it's still not completely out. My roots don't show too bad, but at the rate my hair grows, I might have to dye it back to brown soon.

Sinuses = bleh. I feel your pain. Every time I go back to Tennessee I get sick again. :P Be sure you're drinking a lot of water. Maybe a saline spray would help?

Yeah, this state is the worst when it comes to sinus problems. They should have a sign at the airport. "Welcome to Tennessee. Within an hour, the pollens of the South will work havoc on your respiratory system. Please go directly to a doctor and get a prescription. Do not go to your hotel. Do not collect $200." :P

Thanks! Yes. It was insanely, carroty, Anne Shirley-at-the-age-of-eleven orange. I practically cried when she showed it to me. Apparently this happens a lot with red, though- they seem to have a lot of special things to tone down the orange.
