There's a costume contest today at work. I only have a sort-of costume. I'm wearing a headband with big felt flower petals on it, a green shirt, and a khaki skirt. So I'm a sunflower, but not a very sunny one. Evan's having a hard day. My home is messy. Gandalf has his annual shots coming up, so there goes another hundred dollars or so. I'm quickly becoming poor. I don't know how I am going to afford a nice Christmas. I have money saved, but that's supposed to be for The Weddings. Maybe I could do what some of you smart people are doing, and start buying presents now. That way it won't be such a drastic loss.

Tonight Royce is having a massive (as in, like, a hundred people) Halloween party at his house. The Kathy group, the Ryan group, and Evan and I are all going. This alone is cause for celebration- we haven't all been in the same place in about six months. It should be very fun. Tomorrow I'm going with my mom to Nashville, where we will attend Contest of Champions with my sister. This time of year always stirs up band memories for me, so I'm looking forward to some good shows.

Did anyone see that episode of Scrubs where J.D. is speaking Spanish, but he's bad at it, so he says something like "Purple tree bird car"? Evan does that to me all the time. A little while ago he called me and said, "Gatos zapatos." I was like, "Um...cat shoes?" :) He's silly.

Friends was pretty funny last night. Baby Kangaroo Tribbiani! ROTFL.

Okay, it's almost time for the office Halloween party. I plan to enjoy a cupcake (which I will berate myself for eating later). :P :) Have a good weekend and be safe!

This is the unexpected flower I mentioned the other day. :)

I'm so disappointed! You're right, it IS an unexpected flower. I was expecting a sun flower named Brenda. :( Boo hoo

I think I'm cancelling Christmas this year. I won't have an income (I think). Bah-humbug! LOL!

What's with Christmas being "bad" or "good", "cancelled" or "not cancelled" depending on the presents? Sheesh, ladies! :)

There are all sorts of wonderful things about Christmas that aren't gifts, as you well know. :P

It's taken me like an hour to post this because I keep being interrupted.

PS In all my delay of posting, I forgot to ask--is that a morning glory?

I missed Friends. :( I asked my sister to tape it but I'm not sure if she did.

You know...I think it is! I planted it so long ago that I didn't remember, but that sounds right. Thanks! :)

Yes, I well know. :) I just like to get nice presents for the people I care about. I know it's not all about things, but I feel like that's how I let them know they are important to me. I guess "gifts" is higher on my love languages than I thought.

Yeah, I'm partly gifts, but there are gifts that don't cost a lot. :)

:) Don't worry, I'll have costume pictures on Monday.

Yeah...we'll just have to find a way to have Christmas without money.

I LOVE the Gandolf picture! It is so perfect. It should be on a Halloween card... try selling it to hallmark.
:-) Can't wait to see your costume pictures.

Ah, I *totally* know what you mean about Christmas shopping. I think I really need to start my shopping now, too. I can't believe it's coming up so fast. Eeek!

Take care!
