Beware the Halloween Peeps...

Right now I wish I was at home taking a nap. Last night Evan came over and we had a happy, companionable time while I did my usual Monday cleaning. At 9:00 I finally finished everything, sat down with him to watch CSI Miami, and suddenly realized how exhausted I was. Despite our best efforts, we both fell asleep in the last ten minutes of the show and were rudely awakened by the news coming on. So I have no idea how it ended. I do know, however, that they must have set a new record for Most Replays of a Man Being Impaled on a Fence. It was horrible and I have half a mind to write and complain. Or I could just stop watching the show.

I have got to get my Halloween candy out of the house. If I don't get serious about losing these few pounds before Thanksgiving, I'm going to be in a lot of trouble after it, and the candy calls to me constantly. Evan is taking care of it for me, but he had so many Reese's Cups last night that it made me ill to watch him. I want someone else to eat it now. :)

Tonight I have a two-hour church band practice. Hopefully people will show up and it won't be just three flutes, two trumpets, and a baritone as usual. The music sounds so much better when you can hear all the parts. I could make a cheesy correlation here to humanity in general, but I don't feel like it. :) And now I'm too tired to say anything else.

I am sick of Hallowe'en candy. We went to Walmart on Nov. 1st and bought four big bags of the following: candy corn, Twizzlers, Nestle Crunch bars, and Tootsie Rolls, all of which I love. But it is too much. I am seriously in need of a salad or something.

Yeah. Me too. I was thinking last night how it's good that Thanksgiving isn't a "candy" holiday. It's a good buffer between Halloween candy and Christmas candy. Otherwise, we would all have scurvy.

I also am soo tired today and wish I was at home taking a nap. I even closed the door to my office and took a little power nap earlier- I just could not keep my eyes open any longer. The benefits of having an office with a door. ;) Plus- its not like they are paying me to be at school- I should be able to nap whenever I want. ;) hehe

Yep, the Journal office. I have been spending many late nights here lately. I haven't left the office before 10 pm in about 3 weeks. :( This week I am busy working hard so that Daniel and I can come to Memphis this weekend!!! Wooohooooooooo! :):):)
I'll try and call you - I don't know if I will be able to stop by and see you guys, but I am sure something can be arranged. :)

I never bought any candy; my consumption was therfore limited to a few pieces at Jessica's parents' place on Halloween itself, and a few more on campus from the GSA party. So I am far from burnt out on candy. I will happily finish it for you for nothing more than the price of postage! (-:

Fortunately I have no candy in my house. There's a little bit at work, but it's not my absolute favorite so I manage to stop myself after some Smarties. Just don't get near the chocolate.

I have a huge bowl of assorted Willy Wonka candy at my house... there are only a couple of kids in my neighborhood, and half my street is under construction (so I didn't get many little visitors.) Anyway, I need something to do with it as well... I certainly don't want to eat it all, but it bothers me to think of just throwing it away...

Whenever I have excess candy I just bring it to work. Especially when the students are in, it goes fast. Just put it in a bowl at the front counter!

I've been exhausted all week. The only thign I want to do is go home and go to sleep. So of cousre i've been dozing thorugh Early Edition at 8 and whatever we watch at 9. I did see the last of CSI Miami if'n you're interested in the outcome of that.
