What about second breakfast?
Nov. 19th, 2003 02:29 pmHey, check out my U of M icon!
anulyra made it for me. Isn't she awesome?
God is so gracious even in unimportant things. Evan got to come to Wednesday Lunch today. I prayed fervently that my weekly conference call wouldn't be moved to 11:30, because it sometimes is, and then I am late or don't make it to lunch at all. Not only was it not moved, but it was also cancelled! So I got to meet him and the rest of the crew in a leisurely manner. :) We had a funny conversation which
aardwolf is supposed to post about. If he doesn't, I'll do it myself later.
My dad gave me a tennis-elbow bracey thing for my tendonitis- just a band that wraps around my arm. It's itchy, but it stops the pain much better than the wrist brace. Weird. Last night my knee muscles hurt a lot, I guess due to the temperature change, so Evan gave me a knee massage. Isn't that sweet? Unfortunately we found out that even my knees are ticklish. I couldn't stop laughing. It was fun and horrible. :) In the end I had to play with the cat while he worked, to take my mind off the tickling. We also watched the news, which was having its weekly Campus Crime report. Almost every high school had had an episode of some kind. At my wonderful alma mater, a student had been caught with a .25 caliber pistol.
Me: See, this is why I don't want to send my kids to public school. The safety issue alone...
Evan: Yes, but it doesn't matter if the other kid has a gun, as long as your kid has a gun too!
Me: Oh, that's a great solution.
Evan: It is. We give all the kids guns. Then they'll be too afraid to shoot anyone because they know they'll get shot themselves.
Me (later): This is why you can never run for mayor.
LOL.
First real kiss: My first boyfriend, Graham.
First job: Hallmark, my senior year of high school. I started just before Christmas and there was no time to train me on the register, so I worked eight-hour shifts as a greeter. It was horrible. After Christmas, I became a normal employee and then I liked the job a lot. Sometimes I wish I still worked there. :P
First screen name: Ballena18
First self-purchased album: Debbie Gibson, Out of the Blue
First funeral: My great-grandmother's. I was eight.
First pet: Buffy, a cocker spaniel.
First piercing: My ears. I think I was six. I've always wanted to get a second hole in each ear, but now I feel like I'm too old to do it.
First true love: Graham again. I guess it was "puppy love," since I was so young, but it was very sincere.
First big trip: New York with my parents. I was two. Yes, two. I hardly remember anything about it.
Last big car ride: Fourteen hours to Michigan in August. Next week I will have another fourteen hours to Texas. I don't want to think about it.
Last kiss: About an hour ago. ;D
Last good cry: Several weeks ago.
Last movie seen: Matrix Revolutions in the theater, Wayne's World at home.
Last beverage drank: Cherry Coke
Last food consumed: A Grand Escape and fries from Steak Escape. Yeah, I'm never going to lose these ten pounds. I'm having stir-fry for dinner, though, so :P.
Last phone call: Evan, on the way back from lunch. He wanted to tell me about a Beatles song that was on the radio. :)
Last TV show watched: The Today show
Last shoes worn: My lovely high-heeled black Rampage shoes (which I have finally learned to walk in without tripping or losing the shoe entirely)!
Last CD played: Ingram Hill, June's Picture Show
Last item bought: Besides lunch? A wedding present for my cousin and cousin-to-be. I got them some stainless steel measuring cups, and a syrup dispenser.
Last disappointment: The graduation/Christmas-concert debacle.
Last soda drank: Cherry Coke, still
Last ice cream eaten: Strawberry frozen yogurt on Monday night.
Last shirt worn: I'm wearing a burgundy v-neck shirt from Old Navy. *model pose* It's the Item of the Week! Buy one today! (Hey, what is the item of the week? I need a dress.)

Tickling matters...
Date: 2003-11-19 02:02 pm (UTC)Daniel's favorite past time has become tickling me. and that isn't an exaggeration- it literally is his favorite thing to do, you should see his face lite up. :) He tickles me at every opportunity. The other day I did a favor for him, and in exchange he had to agree not to tickle me for 2 days. It has been the most painful experience for him not to tickle me. It has been so bad that I had to give him a reprive and let him tickle me for five minutes last night. You would have thought it was Christmas. ;) hehe
love the brens!
