chestnutcurls: (happy couple)

We're leaving later than we had planned, so now I get to see Evan for a few minutes before we leave! I called to tell him, and he said he had thought about coming to my work on his lunch break to surprise me, so we could see each other. Isn't that sweet??? :D Now he doesn't have to. I am happy. I just thought I'd share, to make up for the snippiness of the previous post. :)

Also, I got my ergonomic keyboard at work this morning, and it is really hard to type. But my wrists feel better.

Okay, the end.

The ergonomic keyboard takes a little bit of getting used to, but it will feel totally natural to you in no time. :)

Yeah.. I've had an ergonomic keyboard for a long time now (off and on), and now I have it at work but not at home, but I don't even think about the difference.

Great news on the Evan front.

And which ergonomic keyboard did you get? I'm curious.

It's a Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite- the most basic one available in the Office Depot catalog. :) They didn't have black, so it doesn't match the rest of my computer, but I already feel better in my arms.

Cool. My roommate got me interested in ergonomic keyboards because he uses a very unusual (and expensive--sells online for $300) keyboard that he swears by. Having learned Dvorak, I'm surprised at how little things can make a big difference in the comfort level of the typing I do all day long (though I probably don't do as much of it as you do because I write more code than documents).

But I'm not going to get a keyboard like his because it's a little too different from normal keyboards; I'd be afraid that my fingers would learn the ununsual key positionings and I'd have problems with normal keyboards. The Natural Keyboards preserve relative key positioning, so they're better than his $300 model in that respect. (-:

Take care, hon. And I'm glad that your wrists are feeling better.

Happy Thanksgiving (a couple days early). :)
