Yesterday I had a full day, so I did not post. (Not that anyone noticed.) I was busy, because it was Administrative Professionals Day! One of my bosses gave me a beautiful, tiny rosebud plant. The roses were pink! I was excited. Then, my other boss gave me a very girly glass box with pink roses painted on it. Again, I was very excited, and amused because the presents matched and they hadn't done it on purpose. :) Then my director said we were going out to lunch! So we did! It was a happy day. I am very blessed with my co-workers. (Mostly. :))
Today, however, is not as fun. One of my bosses is on vacation, and a crisis has developed suddenly with one of her projects. I'm glad I am getting a chance to step up and take charge, but it's a little stressful. Also, I am inexplicably tired today and don't feel up to doing anything, except laying on my bed reading Narnia books, which is what I did on my lunch break. :)
Something funny and satisyfing happened the other night at the goodbye party. (Which was wonderful, by the way.) To back up, I have been listening to Evan talk about trucks and mudding practically nonstop for the last two years. If you compiled all of our conversations, the word I have probably said most is "Huh?" Well, my friend Chris, who is in the meteorology program at State, drove up for the goodbye party. He and I and Evan were standing together. Chris and I were talking animatedly about how he met a famous guy from the Weather Channel who trained under Dr. Fujita, and Evan was just bobbing his head back and forth between us. Finally he looked at me and said seriously, "I think I know how you feel now." :) That made me feel really good for some reason. :)
Go look at this: The Chronicles of George. I laughed so hard I cried.
