in the end you know it's gonna be me
Aug. 5th, 2002 09:51 amIt is hot.
The wedding countdown begins. T minus 5 days. Kathy and I are getting our hair cut this evening. Wednesday night is the bachelorette party, and Em will be arriving then (yay!). Friday night is the rehearsal dinner. Saturday is the wedding! Saturday night is the pool party at Kathy's to prevent We Who Remain from dwelling on the fact that the first of our group has gotten married. :)
Evan can't go to the wedding with me because he has to work. "I thought the wedding happened already," he said, in bewildered guy fashion. I explained that those were the times I had to go to showers, etc., and he was surprised. He also didn't understand how it could cost so much to be in a wedding, so we enlightened him. :) On another note, he found out that his new job requires that he work Sundays. Forever. So he won't be at church again for a long, long time. I know he really needs the money, and FedEx will pay for his school, but still...this worries me. A lot.
aardwolf came over Saturday night and brought me a pack of vanilla Coke. Very nice of him. Then, he, Jamie, Kathy, my sister, and I spent an hour in Blockbuster arguing about what to watch, finally emerging with That Thing You Do, which had not been on anyone's list, but was a fitting compromise. :) Kathy and I are very excited that our Lord of the Rings DVD arrives tomorrow. We are going to watch it at Evan's, because he has surround sound, and his DVD player always works. :)
My birthday is in 11 days!
