and all you can do is wait

My living room is full of birdseed. Yes, you heard me correctly. Many pounds of it, to be made into 225 lovely tulle birdseed pouches, to be thrown at MaryElaine and Royce as they make their escape tomorrow afternoon. Why, you may ask, are the bridesmaids making 225 birdseed pouches on the eve of the wedding? Because the other night, when someone asked MaryElaine if she was having bubbles or rice at the wedding, she exclaimed, "I forgot about that!" And so, here we are. :)

Kathy called this morning to update me on the birdseed situation, and to inform me that my beautiful, blue, 300-dollar, 21st-birthday-present-from-my-dad Kenwood stereo has been unplugged and taken to the reception hall. I am glad to be of help (even if I wasn't asked). But if that stereo gets dropped, or stolen, or harmed in any way, I am going to cry.

But you know what? Tomorrow I'm going to stand at the front of Kathy's church and see MaryElaine come down the aisle looking beautiful, and be with her as she makes a covenant with one of the nicest guys I've ever met. And it's all going to be worth it. :)
