burninating the countryside
Jan. 22nd, 2003 09:27 amThis has had me cracking up for a week, so I wanted to share it with all of you. Make sure you have sound. :) In my opinion, though, Evan's imitation of it is funnier than the thing itself.
I got a haircut last night. On Friday I'm going to get a manicure. I have never had one, so I am excited. It's sort of in preparation for my Vegas trip, although I don't know why I should fix myself up for a bunch of work people.
Which brings me to something that's been annoying me. Girls, do you ever feel that your primping efforts are totally wasted? Like you fix yourself up for one person, and they're the only person who doesn't notice. What does it take to get someone to think that you look nice?? Everyone says that when girls look nice, guys notice, but I swear, the male race is oblivious to me no matter what I do. Well, not the entire male race. Just the ones whose opinions matter most to me. :P
And here's another question. Why is it that, when girls enter serious relationships, they suddenly start wearing dressy career clothes? Is this some sort of Boyfriend Clause? Am I the only single girl I know (IRL) because I wear jeans and Gap cardigans and sneakers, or do I enjoy these clothes because I don't have a boyfriend? Things they never address in Sociology.
Kathy and I decided last night that we could very easily win Meet My Folks if we ever entered, just because we're not stupid or manipulative. I'm sure it would also help that neither of us has ever had an affair with our therapist. :P
