Much excitement this weekend!

- Saw The Core. It was okay- very Armageddon-ish, and full of actors whom I recognized but couldn't place; I hate when that happens. I think it was a little too long, too, because by the end of the movie I was finding this guy attractive in a weird sort of way. Kathy was very disturbed by this. :)

- Purchased Linkin Park's new CD, Meteora. It's as good as I had hoped. Yesterday, I got another CD in the mail- Tara Leigh Cobble's Home Sweet Road. I had never heard her music before- I ordered the CD just because she seemed really cool, based on her lyrics and her website. Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed. She's very folky and Jennifer Knapp-ish.

- Sunday with the LJ-ers! We had a great day. Ryan and [livejournal.com profile] calypsobard's fiance, J, joined us for lunch at Huey's and an encounter with the Shelby Farms buffalo/bison. Then Lawson and Melissa and I went to a church for Shana's choir concert. It was fantastic! I was so impressed. We got to hang out some more at a dinner after the service, but not before a strange man came up to me and Melissa in the line and said that we looked like singers. We just sort of smiled and nodded. :) Shana is awesome and fun, and I wish we had had more time to spend together! Hopefully she can come back to visit sometime. Melissa is going to join our Wednesday Lunch group, which is very exciting. It's fun to find a friend online who lives in your own city. :)
