Happy birthday, Heather! :D

I keep losing things. So far this week, the following items have disappeared into thin air: 1) my payment booklet for my car 2) my sunglasses 3) our candle-lighter. The first is especially unfortunate, since my payment is due this week and I've looked high and low for the booklet. It was in its manila folder last week. I think I'm going crazy.

Influenced by his off-roading BBS hangout, Evan has taken to saying "Teh Funnay" every time I laugh. For some reason, "teh" is inexpressibly hilarious to me. It also makes me think of Kathy, who's admittedly incapable of typing "that" and has said "taht" in every e-mail to me for the last seven years. Robin Williams was right in Good Will Hunting; it's our friends' little idiosyncrasies that make us love them.

Everyone go read this excellent article. Oh, and on an unrelated note, remember there's no American Idol tonight. The President is speaking. I'll be watching, because the war is really starting to scare me (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] b1ff for the article). I support the President, but I really think we've gotten ourselves into something that we can't get out of. I'm selfishly hoping that the draft won't be reinstituted until Evan is too old. :( I'll probably regret saying that, since politics get everyone all riled up, but oh well.

We're experiencing something called "Blackberry Winter," which basically means that there was a big Just Kidding sign on the calendar on our first day of spring. This morning it snowed a few miles north of town. Around here, an April snow is almost unheard of. I'm wearing a sweater today! Wha' Happened?

I'm having such a good time with my extra userpics. Thanks again, anonymous person! I'd link to what I have so far, but I can't remember how to do that.

And now, a shocking story that I meant to share yesterday. Our Own Mr. Heckles )
