How is everyone's day? Mine isn't going so well. I've felt so irritable the last few days and wish I had more self-control. I am lethargic and don't feel like doing anything, including Pilates, which I skipped this morning even though Thursday is my designated skip day. And it's raining, so I can't walk tonight. Our church band director called to tell me there's a practice tonight, and I almost wanted to cry. Because of the flute trio, I have had one week off from band since March. Why are we already starting again? I love to play, but due to the half-hour drive each way, practices take up my entire evening. Everyone else lives right near the church, so it's not a big deal to them. Anyway, none of these are real problems, so I'm ashamed of feeling so aggravated.
I am completely horrified by the events in Iraq yesterday. I don't even have words.
On a cheerier note, if you've never seen the webpage When Office Supplies Attack, you really should. Especially if you work in an office. Some of the submissions are hilarious.
You know, the longer I watch AI, the more I think that Simon is a good judge. I've agreed with him more this season than I would have thought possible. He tells the truth, and now we see that he admits it when he's wrong about someone. However, did he have to make Jasmine cry? She deserves to go, but she's not horrible. Give the poor girl a break.
I now think Diana will win, and she deserves to. She's the total package. LaToya has amazing, effortless talent, but she's got an ice-queen thing going that kind of puts people off. If she doesn't thaw next week, I think Fantasia will go to the final two instead.
Thaw is a cool word.

Date: 2004-05-12 01:11 pm (UTC)Hey, I'd be a major whiner about band practice a half an hour away. You're so disciplined to still be doing it.

Date: 2004-05-12 02:13 pm (UTC)Yeah, but you have work an hour away and you don't whine very much about that! Thanks, though. I can't quit now. There are only about ten of us. :P

Date: 2004-05-12 01:28 pm (UTC)Concerning AI, well, I was rooting for George but since he has been voted off, I think I am going to root for Diana. Fantasia gets on my nerves, Latoya just isn't it for me, and Jasmine as nice as she may be and she is talented, to me, she isn't in the same league as the others.
