Words of wisdom from my co-worker Janita, who is the light and laughter of our office. :)

Well, no sooner do I finally solve my tax-return problem (I never received my check; apparently it got lost in the mail, and they're sending me another one) than I discover a whole other problem. At lunch today, Jeremy and Lawson and I were talking about expired license plates. I happened to look at mine as we left, and saw that my plate expired in January. So now I have to get the car inspected ASAP (the joys of moving into the city), and get a new sticker, praying that no one pulls me over in the meantime. Every time I think I've mastered the on-my-own thing, I find some other thing I'm supposed to do that no one told me about. :P

Other than that, I am doing good. I watched Shallow Hal last night with some RUF people, and liked it much more than I thought I would. Between that movie and my book about Esther, I am thinking a lot about inner beauty these days. I pray that God would make me more beautiful inwardly, but I feel guilty because my motives are not entirely to please Him. Not that this should surprise me. :) I want to grow to be a woman someone can love, a woman of strength and dignity, :) a woman who glows with the light of Christ. I want to become a lady, and also be treated like one. Unfortunately, the guys in my circle haven't a clue how to treat a lady. I've decided it's time that they learn. I will soon put some smack down about that. :)

Oh, I have a new friend- alissamarie! She's nice and she has good taste in music. Everyone say hello. :)

I think one of the hardest parts about inner beauty is that you don't really know when you have it or when you don't. It's something that some other people notice, but others might not.

The only time you find out if you have it is when someone else tells you. Which..how often does someone just say, "Hey, you have an inner beauty."?

I know! It's true. You just have to have faith that the right people will see it if you have it. And have faith that God's doing it even if you can't see it. :)
