Excitement! I am the proud owner of a new living room rug, new sheets, two fold-up chairs from the Bass Pro Shop, and some new (to me) clothes, all courtesy of my parents. The rug is really neat. It's different shades of blue, in a blocky wave pattern. Very hard to describe, but maybe I will take some pictures. I practiced my guitar last night, and the guitar on the rug looked really beautiful. :)

Kathy called me last night from Newark! Today they're going to NYC and taking a three-hour tour (which we both found to be very amusing).

Other than the shopping with my mom (and a wonderful dinner of grilled kabobs at their house), it was a boring weekend. I was house-sitting Kathy's parents' house, so I spent many hours watching satellite TV. I finally saw (most of) Moulin Rouge, and I really liked it! I also watched Anywhere But Here (very depressing) and Cocoon (kind of boring). And the rerun of Will Ferrell's final SNL. And far too many episodes of Driven. I wanted to swim in the pool, but not by myself. But the guys were busy. So I didn't go in.

I really need more close friends. Kathy and I have such a good time together that we don't need other people so much, but when she's not here, I don't have anyone to hang out with. I used to spend a lot of time with Evan and Ryan, but now they're always busy mudding or playing video games and they don't have time for me. And since I've adopted a loose "don't call them, wait for them to call you" philosophy, I see them even less. It makes me sad. I need other guys in my life, I guess, but I don't want new guys. I want the ones I had before.

Enough whining. Sorry. :)
