I had an interesting weekend.

On Friday, my bosses sent me home early. They had to help me take my lilies, my presents, and half of a huge sheet cake to my car. :) There was still no definite plan for the evening, so I sat around with Kathy for a couple of hours, messing with our new Harry Potter DVD. After a while Casey called and told me that we were going bowling. I had no desire to bowl, since Ryan and I had gone two days before, but that was the plan. I called the guys to tell them, and then we (Kathy, Evan, Ryan, and I) went to dinner. While we were there, Casey called to say that we were going to the drive-in after all. We headed there to meet her, only to find that the drive-in was now showing XXX instead of Signs. The four of us were not cool with this. Casey went ahead in, and so we didn't have much choice but to follow her. As soon as we parked in the drive-in, it started to rain. So Evan and I sat in the truck for two hours, with the windshield wipers on, making fun of the movie. It was not exactly what I thought my birthday outing would be. :)

Saturday was better. On Friday, both the guys had refused to tell me Happy Birthday, and I had been kind of peeved at them. Well, on Saturday, Kathy and I were walking through the mall when I got a call from Ryan. "Happy Birthday!" he said, joyously, as soon as I picked up. :) Apparently he (and Evan) had been rude on purpose, just so they could call the next day and act like that was my birthday. I told Ryan he was a total butthead. Kathy just laughed hysterically. :) I bought some nice clothes (big sale at the Petite Sophisticate), and then my family took me to dinner at Bola Pasta. Then I went home, because we were having a Monopoly party. I am terrible at Monopoly, but it didn't matter much since Evan and I were busy talking anyway. :)

Sunday we found out what's going on with our college/career program at my church, but I won't go into that now because this is already boring enough. Sheesh! I don't think I've posted anything this boring in a while.

I want to thank all of you again for your nice birthday greetings. And Lawson, thank you again for the lilies. They still look beautiful, and the whole apartment smells nice now. :)

Yay, you posted! Don't Lilies smell the best? I LOVE that about them. I hope they last a long time for you, too...I forget how long they stay nice.

Yeah, I'm really getting into the lily smell now. Do you know of any bath products/perfumes that smell like lilies? :) They do last a long time. None of them have died yet, and several more are opening. I have them on the dining room table in front of the air conditioner, so I think the cold air may be preserving them. :)

It's rare to find any sort of lotion/perfume/etc that actually smells like the flower. Even if I knew of one, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. For instance, you know how I love gardenias, but all of the gardenia stuff I've run across is nothing like the flower. It's stronger and perfumey instead of being sweet and natural. God just did a better job, I guess.

Hey, were you going to take a little picture of the flowers with your webcam or whatever? I'd like to see how the arrangement turned out.

Well, I took some pictures with my regular camera. The digital I've been using actually belongs to my mom, and I got so fed up with it that I took it back to her this weekend. (4 AA batteries last approximately 2 minutes in it. I am not exaggerating.) I would scan the real pictures when I get them, except I don't have a scanner, nor do I know anyone who does. Such is my life...

I've been seriously thinking about buying a digital for myself. If I ever get my tax return back, I may do that.

Doesn't Lawson have a scanner? If not, you can always feel free to send me pictures that you need scanned. I know that sounds like a roundabout way, but I'd be glad to do it.

I totally want a digital camera also. I need to research it sometime--maybe it'll be a birthday present to myself if I can save up (2 months till my birthday!).

Maybe! I didn't know he might have one. :)

Thanks for the offer. I may take you up on that one of these days. :) I need to research cameras too. I could afford a lower-end one now, but I'd rather spend more to get something that I know will work! :P

That must be new! I could even go myself, and use her ID. Or even try my own- last time I checked, I could still log on to tiger-lan. :)

Of COURSE I've got a scanner! :P I just used it last week to scan/enlarge some pictures that my mom used on my Grandparents' 50th anniversary scrapbook. :)
