I was looking at the pancakebunny community and saw that the bunny died today. I didn't even know this bunny, obviously, but I was seriously on the verge of tears. I'm still feeling sad about it. I'm getting more and more sensitive about that sort of thing, since Bun is almost 6 years old and I'm not sure how much time he has left. I feel so guilty that I don't spend more time with him. And my family has made me feel really guilty about getting a cat- every time I'm at my parents' house visiting Bun, they're all like, "Oh, Bun, you know she's replaced you." They are teasing, but I still feel awful.

Every guy I know likes to tease me about my sensitivity to animals. They think it's funny to make jokes about rabbit-hunting, or cats getting run over by cars. They don't understand that it's a serious thing for me. I just can't stand to think about animals being hurt or mistreated.

Okay, now I am all upset, so in an attempt to stop my emotional train wreck, I'm going to do this .

d. Based on all the things you've read in their journals, which of your LJ Friends do you think is the most romantic (apart from yourself)? I think contradictions is a big sap at heart. (That's a compliment, Philip.) :)

III. THE BEST TIMES
a. What were the circumstances of the best kiss you ever shared with anyone? Gosh. I really don't know.
b. Briefly describe the best date you ever had? yakko7178 cooked me dinner on Valentine's Day (1998, in case you were wondering :)), and then took me to a place where you paint ceramics. Then we went for ice cream. :)
c. What's the longest dating relationship you ever had? a little over a year
d. What's the most romantic gift you ever gave anyone you were dating? I'm not really sure. I made a tape for Jeremy once.

IV. THE WORST TIMES
a. What were the circumstances of the worst kiss you ever shared? One of my boyfriends in high school...I just didn't want to kiss him. I'm not sure how much I wanted to date him in the first place, which was a shame, because he treated me really well.
b. Have you ever done something stupid that caused a relationship to end? Of course. :P But, like Lauren said, if it was meant to be, nothing I did could have screwed it up.

V. OTHER ROMANTIC STUFF
a. What's the most romantic season? I think they're all romantic, but everyone wants to be in love in the springtime. :)
b. What's your favorite romantic movie? When Harry Met Sally. I mean, did you even need to ask? :) That's just the way things ought to be.
c. Who is the best leading man in romantic movies? I like Tom Hanks.
d. Who is the best leading woman in romance movies? Drew Barrymore or Meg Ryan.
e. Who is the most romantic TV couple? I think Monica and Chandler were really romantic when they first got together. :)
f. What's your favorite romantic song? "More Than Words" by Extreme, tied with the Geoffrey Gaines remake of "In Your Eyes."
g. If you could take a boy/girlfriend to any country in the world for a weekend of romance, what country would you choose? New Zealand. We could wander the wilds of Middle-Earth together. :)
h. If you could describe the key to a good romance in five words or less, what would it be? trust, history, playfulness, openness, encouragement

I find it horrible when people say things about being mean to animals. I think that God intended for us to care for them

His name is actually bun. ;o) He's got pasturella, so he's perpetually sick in the wintertime. It's like snuffles. Because of that, I've never gotten him neutered, so he can't really run around the house - i.e. he eats wires and uses mom's carpet as a litterbox. But I can certainly sympathise, he's almost died several times. I hate it when people are insensitive about animals, like my bf's brothers are always shooting squrrels. It's awful!

i'm a bunny person too. the only bunny that was ever mine alone (ther others were my siblings') was Esther, a tiny tortoise shell holland lop. she wasn't a very cuddly bunny--except with me, and when she got scared she'd curl her nails around my finger. she died suddenly about two years ago. I'd get another except that pets are a pain if you haven't time to give them (and I haven't), and i'll be leaving home in about 3 years, and all..... it's bad enough knowing I'll have to leave the cat here.
