chestnutcurlsI had a fun weekend! Yay!
Friday night, Ryan, Luke, Myla, Kathy, Evan, and I had dinner at Garibaldi's Pizza. Then we went roller-skating! Evan didn't go because he had hurt his knee at work and couldn't skate, but Daniel joined us instead. I had a great time! I hadn't been roller-skating since high school, and it brought back memories. :) But after only an hour or so, Luke fell and hurt his elbow pretty badly. Then we were too worried about him to skate, so we went home. (I called him later to check on him, and he has a hematoma. I don't know what that is exactly, but it sounds painful. :P)
On Saturday, Kathy and I went out to the mall so I could get a new coat and boots. I got a nice black leather coat for only a hundred dollars (regularly $375)! Then I found cute, matching boots, also on sale! This cheered me up considerably. In order to contribute further to a More Exciting-Looking Brenda, I also bought a striped turtleneck. (I normally avoid turtlenecks and stripes at all costs, so this was a big step.) Then I spent time at my parents' house to visit with the bunny. Since I got the cat, Bun suddenly seems so...huge. I mean, I can pick up Gandalf with one hand, but Bun takes both arms. :) Anyway, we watched Miami slaughter UT, which pleased me immensely. (I don't know if Bun had any strong feelings about it. :)) Then Kathy and Daniel and I had dinner at McAlister's and went back to the apartment to watch Frequency. It was a nice day.
Sunday morning was Communion Sunday at church, which was nice. I had lunch with some of the "old crowd." (Alli and I think our plan to re-group the group is working. :)) Then, last night, we re-congregated at Alli's to watch Panic Room. It was a good movie, but the ending left me with unanswered questions. I hate when that happens. :)
Gosh, I don't post as much anymore, and when I do, that's what I give you guys? I'll make it up to you. Somehow. In about 50 years when the sticker project is done.
