Dec. 9th, 2002 11:05 amChristmas has come to my apartment! We bought a tree and decorations on Saturday. I have never had a real tree before, so I am enthralled with the nice tree smell. :) Hopefully my camera will arrive today or tomorrow, and then I will have pictures.
This weekend was pretty good. On Friday night Kathy, Daniel, Ryan, and I had dinner at McAlister's. Then we went to CBU to see a play, What I Did Last Summer, because one of Kathy's church friends was in it. It was interesting. Most of Saturday was spent shopping for tree things, and then we had a restful night at the aparment with pizza and Contact. Later, I actually got online, and had fun IM conversations with Jenn and
siemova. (I wondered why Jessica was not online, until I realized she was in San Francisco. :)) Sunday was restful. I was so glad to go to church, since I couldn't go last week. Matt and I were the only people from "our group" in the service, which is becoming typical. Ryan hasn't been there in over a month, and I am starting to wonder what the heck is going on with him. Anyway, I came home from church and took a long nap. Then I sat around, worked on Christmas cards (sending Batch 1 today), watched A Charlie Brown Christmas, and went back to bed at the late hour of 9:30. I am not kidding. But I feel rested today, so I'm glad I was such a dork. :)
Tonight we go to buy LOTR tickets! Eight of us are going to the movie. I was sad it wasn't nine, because then we could be the Fellowship. But then Kathy ruined my fun by reminding me that the Fellowship was broken, and we do not want our group to be broken. :)
1. Toothpaste. Do you squeeze from the middle or work up from the bottom?
Work up from the bottom. That way, you use it all.
2. Towels. Hang it up or throw it on a chair/floor?
Hang it up. A towel on the floor can put me into cardiac arrest. :)
3. Phone. If a non-Christian of the opposite sex asked for your phone number, would you give it to them?
Like
jmcphers, I would probably give him my email address instead (provided he was someone I would want to talk to again). If it was clear that he was interested in me, I would make it equally clear to him that I will not date a non-Christian.
4. Bed. Do you sleep all sprawled out or stay in one spot?
I used to stay in the same spot, but I think I've started to move around more since I got a bigger bed.
5. Milk. Do you drink it straight from the carton?
Bleah. I don't drink milk by itself at all, let alone out of the carton.
6. Going out. If you go out to dinner with someone of the opposite sex, date or not, do you offer to pay or expect them to?
I always expect to pay for myself; since most of the guys in my life want it to be very clear that they are not (gasp) dating me, they have never paid for me. Although
aardwolf has paid for my lunch a couple of times, which was very nice of him. It's good to feel taken-care-of once in a while.
7. Singing. Do you sing out loud in your car? Dancing?
Yes to both. Em started a "car-dancing" trend when we were in college, and I've never stopped. :)
8. Movies. If a big group is watching a movie, do you like to talk during it?
A little, because someone is usually confused, and someone else has to explain. And when Kathy and I watch movies at home, we comment constantly. Especially if it's one we've seen a lot.
9. Car. Speed limit always?
Eh...I try to stay within 5 mph of the limit. :)
10. Words. Name three words you hate hearing.
Any profane word; function; liquids.
