the comedy is that it's serious
May. 14th, 2003 01:58 pmRain, rain, go away. We had a massive thunderstorm last night at about 2 am, which made it impossible to sleep. Then the sirens started going off. The TV continued showing infomercials and offered no explanation as to what was going on, so Kathy, Gandalf, and I sat in the stairwell until it stopped, just to be safe. So I ended up getting four or five hours' sleep last night. It was like a big party for Gandalf, though...we were up in the middle of the night, spending time with him! At least we were able to make the cat happy. :)
My dad and I had the best time at my brother's concert last night. One of the pieces they played had a movement called "Milking Song." In the middle of the preceding movement, he said, "I wish they'd just skip to the Milking Song! Maybe, at the end, they'll all have milk mustaches!" Then he started making these milking motions. I couldn't stop laughing (silently). Every time I almost regained my composure, he would say or do something else. I was laughing so hard I was crying. I was sure someone was going to turn around and yell at me for being distracting. After the concert, we told Kevin about it and he had a good laugh, too. I guess you had to be there.
Tonight I see the sequel to the coolest movie ever made. Yay!
