NUMBER 18, BABY!

When Kathy and I heard about it last night, we leapt up from the table, grabbed our pom-poms, danced around the apartment singing the fight song, and then calmly sat back down to finish our dinner. We think this is the first time the cat has wondered at our craziness, instead of the other way around. :)

In other local news, police busted a meth lab last night across the street from my high school. This is in addition to the illegal arsenal recently discovered behind my elementary school, and last week's disgruntled parent trying to run down the vice-principal of my middle school. I'm almost beginning to feel like I'm back in Miami. :P

Tonight I am actually going to tutor at Streets- they found a kid who wants to show up. Even though I've been "volunteering" there since September, I've only actually tutored twice. So I'm nervous. We'll see how it goes.

The water I drink at work is just over a dollar a gallon, so I guess I'm better off drinking that than gasoline, huh? :P

I think it's general TCAP tutoring. The girl I tutored before was a senior, so we worked on ACT stuff, but this girl is in 7th grade.

And here, in Belgium the cost for petrol is 1,042 euro per liter. An euro is about the same as a dollar but I don't know how much liter is the same as a gallon.

Yeah...I felt pretty bad last night and didn't take the pictures off the camera. I was too tired to deal with the moody photo program. Sorry. :( But I'm going home for lunch and I'll try to do it then.

The TCAP is the standardized test that all Tennessee students have to pass to graduate from high school. They give it every year in elementary and middle school, and then again in 10th grade. If you don't pass it, you have to keep taking it until you do. :P The ACT is one of the college entrance exams.

Oh, my mom just bought us tickets to BLAST this morning, and it's a matinee on the 15th. So I can't go, unless it's just a morning thing. :( I think they have another seminar later in the year, though...

BLAST.. that should be fun. I'm hoping for a good Orpheum season next season. Thre's nothign I really want to see coming any time soon. The Lion King is supposed to be here next fall so I"ll defaintly be there for that.. unless of course fall means the week I'm on my honeymoon!
