waiting for my rocket to come
Apr. 14th, 2004 01:55 pmI'm so bored today. There are non-rush things I could do, both personal and job-related, but I can't work up the energy to do them. Sigh. I wish I was with Stacy, whose department went to a Redbirds game today. Which reminds me, have I mentioned how nice and generous she is? She's always lending me stuff. :)
The big news around here is a young local DJ who was strangled in her own apartment. The more they find out, the more tragic the story gets. As a fellow female city apartment resident, this story has me more than a little freaked out. Apparently the robbers were knocking on doors, waiting for someone to open up so they could rob them...it was totally random. Ladies, don't open the door for someone you don't know. Ever.
On a light note, I have the Jason Mraz CD, and last year I wasn't too impressed with it. I decided to give it another chance a few weeks ago, and I don't know why I didn't like it before, because it's awesome. He's funny and has a nice voice and a versatile style. I guess I wasn't in the musical "place" for his stuff then. Does anyone else get into long-term musical moods? Most of the time I like peppier stuff, but sometimes I get into slow-music moods or pop moods or country moods that last a few weeks. I've always been that way.
I'm curious about who watches certain TV shows, so I made a poll. The first five are shows that I really enjoy; the second five are shows that I don't really watch for various reasons, but I've noticed they're popular with other people.
