Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] danialand! And happy late birthday, [livejournal.com profile] imaginarylove! And welcome to the friends list, [livejournal.com profile] kiwiria! When I stopped to think about it, I realized that Maria was my first online friend. We met on an L.M. Montgomery mailing list when I was in college. She just started a journal, so let the fun commence. :)

Does anyone know of a good, relatively inexpensive CD burner program? Kathy and I both have Adaptec programs and are having a lot of trouble with them. Hers can't even burn mp3s. Surely there must be something better out there.

We went to see Finding Nemo last night. It was wonderful- and very emotional, for a fish movie.

I have an impromptu interview with my prospective new boss at 3 pm. Please pray. It's a good thing I wore businesslike clothes today and not a sundress like I wore yesterday.

I just use the built-in CD Burning features of Windows XP. For audio CD's, I use Windows Media Player (free). I'm not sure if the non-XP versions will burn CDs or not. :(

Good luck with the surprise interview. Stay positive! Confidence is attractive in a potential employee, as long as it's not too much... (Not that kind of attractive, silly!)

The best CD burning programs for Windows that I have used are made by Roxio, although I don't know how expensive they are (or, hopefully, aren't).

I'm glad to hear you liked Finding Nemo -- I've heard mixed reviews on that flick, but I'm always up for a CGI movie. (-:

Hope your interview goes well!

Good luck on the interview - God knew about it, so he helped you choose your wardrobe. =)

My cd burning program is Roxio and I like it. I had Adaptec in my last computer and it stunk, to be honest. (Not sure if that's proper grammar or not, but it's the truth.)

Okay, I'm glad it wasn't just us. I'm surprised we didn't realize this before- how good could it be when it comes with everyone's CD burner? :) Roxio seems to be the way to go. I'll check that out.

Thanks, and thanks! :) Apparently I have a certain expression that makes people get the Mona Lisa connection. They can know me for a while and never see it, and then suddenly they're like, "Hey!" So I'm told, anyway. :)

I believe you can also use RealPlayer to burn cds.
My brother likes to use it. I prefer the program that came with my burner (Easy CD Creator 4)...but he did use RealPlayer while he was here & it worked just fine. Nice & free.
