I just wrote a long entry, and LJ ate it. I guess it's for the best. It was complainy and probably full of things that didn't need to be said.

I have the new Clay CD! I've only listened to Invisible so far, but that by itself put a big smile on my face. :) Ah, memories of the concert and the jersey. I refrained from buying Matrix Reloaded, which was a battle of wills with myself. Evan points out that there will be a boxed set eventually, so why waste the money now? Also, The Sound of Music is on sale for ten dollars. If I had been sitting down in the store, I would have been sitting on my hands.

Last night I made homemade pizza for Evan. It didn't turn out as I had planned, but he liked it anyway. I feel so inept in the kitchen compared to Kathy, mainly because I hate cooking meat and she's good at it. Meat = long cooking time, and, more importantly, too many fat grams. When I lived alone I think I made chicken for myself one time. Mostly I ate noodles and vegetables. However, this meal plan doesn't fly when there's a guy around. As a result I think I've gained a few pounds. :( It's hard to stick to rabbit food when your boyfriend wants things that taste good. I need to exercise more. I've become such a slacker. Maybe I can schedule that somewhere in the mass amount of free time I have. :P

Anyway, Debra came over later and we watched Contact, one of my favorite movies. You're not going to believe this: I've seen that movie at least ten times, and last night was the first time I ever realized that the other scientist guy was blind! My powers of observance are weak. I guess I always just thought he had strange expressions or something.

Okay, that's all.

That would have been a funny thing to see:
What??? He's blind???? :P

Hey, did you see how pretty the sky is/was today? It was an amazing blue that got even brighter as it got near the horizon... and the clouds looked like something out of a painting. :)

Meat isn't that fatty.. like chicken breast. Yum! You need your protein!! Also, what about fish? And even lean beef or pork is very low in fat. I'm a meatatarian.. I don't know how you go on pasta and veggies. The protein satisfies me longer.

Yeah, I eat meat when I go out, or when other people are cooking. I just don't cook it for myself. You're right about the protein. I feel much better when I'm eating meat, but I also feel heavier. :P

Oh and also: you can email me about whatever you were going to post in your journal. :) I'm here and curious.

I don't remember which person was blind in Contact either, so maybe I missed it too! I've seen it a couple of times.

It was the guy that listened to the sonar. The reason his ears were so good is that he was blind (and as everyone knows, the other senses compensate...)

*spoiler alert*

He's the guy that heard her voice saying she was clear to launch at the end of the movie... when no one else could hear her, and they were about to abort the launch.

Awww - yay for the new Clay album! :) Have you listened to more since your post? It's dreamy. *sigh*

I agree with you about "Invisible"! Did you watch Leno last night?

And my list of American Idol CDs that I haven't bought yet gets even longer. Go Clay!

I'm sorry about whatever was behind the long entry that got eaten. You have my hugs and support, chicky! ;)

I've tried to make homemade pizza before. I always mess up the crust though. :P It ends up being like a big stretchy rubber blob.

I laughed when I read that. But don't worry, I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you. :)

That is a great movie.

actually, LJ didn't eat your entry. You posted it over in bunnyowners. You might want to go click on 'comment' then 'edit' and change the journal you post it to.

We've all been over there waiting for you to realize your goof and change it.
