Two weeks ago, I was wearing a sweater and needed a heating pad on my bed. Now all my sweaters are in storage, and my apartment is so hot that I can't even sleep in the bed. At my dad's suggestion, I'm leaving the air on today while I'm at work (and cringing at how big the electric bill is going to be). I thought I would get at least a couple of weeks of nice, windows-open spring weather. What happened? I know God is sovereign over the weather, so complaining about it is bad. But I'm bewildered. :)
Does anyone else ever worry that they are not being a good worker at their job? I often feel like a lazy bum. If I have a task to do, I get it done fast. But most of the time there is nothing to be done. I know that's not my fault, but I feel like I should be thinking up something to do. Even when I was a file girl, I could always think of some project to do that would benefit everybody. Now I'm an admin and I just sit here. I wish I could find something to get excited about!
Tonight is the last RUF. The last time I will ever hear Harris teach. It is going to be sad. I'm having lunch with Casey today (yay) so maybe we can work out some of our feelings. :)

Word of the Day: Copacetic. Adjective. Means "okay"; "has been worked out." Brought to our attention this morning by our vice president, who takes every opportunity to show off her insanely advanced vocabulary. :)

Oh my goodness ;) Sunday night, I met with my group to go over the oral presentation we made last night (which we aced BTW). When we were done, the laid-back guy in the group said it was copacetic!!! It's amazing to me that "copacetic" has popped up twice in 3 days, and I'd never heard of it up to this point.

About the lazyness... I'm in a job where 80% of my time is spent just sitting around. I find it challenging to find something to at least keep me from being bored. When it all comes down to it, it's not about being "busy". As long as you are productive when you DO have work to do, that's all they can ask...

That's weird! I had never even heard that word before, and I thought I had a pretty good vocabulary. We all thought it was really funny. The VP uses those kinds of words on purpose- I guess she gets bonus points for more than four syllables. :P Her favorite word is "discombobulated."
Thanks for saying that about the job. I know you aren't in any danger of getting fired, so I guess if you're okay, I'm okay too. :)

They can also ask that you come to work on time. :(

Did you read my post before you posted this? This is exactly what I was ranting about in yesterday's last post.
