Happy Friday! Hace mucho frio hoy. The high was supposed to be 50-something, but now they say we'll struggle to reach 32. February is coming, and that's often a snowy month for us. ("Snowy" meaning "several flurries, with one accumulating two inches.") :)

After hearing this news, I'm even more excited about the Super Bowl! Because of my trips, I haven't gotten to watch the game with friends in two years. We're having a church party. I'm looking forward to it. Root for the Patriots: it's what our founding fathers would have wanted you to do. (Was American football even invented in 1776?)

Kathy is re-reading the Harry Potter books. I need to re-read Book 5, because our discussions have kicked up again. The other day she came into the living room and announced, apropos of nothing, "Somewhere there's a snake that's Harry's friend." I quickly understood what she was getting at, but Daniel, who does not read fiction, thought she had finally gone nuts.

I forgot to mention that Evan and I did see Big Fish last week. It's well worth your time. If you liked Moulin Rouge, you'll like this because it has the same surreal quality. I thought it was a beautiful movie.

So who's watching The Apprentice? I never thought I'd get into this show, but it's addictive. Evan is more hooked on it than I am, which I find hilarious.

[livejournal.com profile] stacye13 just told me that they have brown corduroy pants at Target, so I may be completing my pants mission after work. Woo hoo! Have a great weekend!

I'm not into reality tv shows (actually I don't even own a tv at the moment), but my chiropractor told me something interesting about one of the guys one The Apprentice (not sure which). He's not really into "reality" shows, either, but I guess his sister watched the first episode of it and in the middle called him up and told him to look in his high school yearbook cuz she thought she recognized one of the contestants as having graduated with him. Turns out he had, although neither the face nor the name of the guy stood out in his memory. Startling, though, was the guy's quote printed next to his senior picture: something to the effect of, "Donald Trump, here I come!!" :-O Hehe, my chiropractor said that while he doesn't remember the guy himself, he does remember reading that quote back then and thinking, "Oh brother, that is the dumbest thing..." LOL

Weird.

Oh my gosh! That's so weird!! :)

It wasn't Sam, was it? I couldn't stand that guy. Evan called him "The Weasel."

I'm not sure, it could have been. He told me when he watched the following episodes, it was purely out of a fascination of horror, because the guy was so obnoxious. He figured he was only left on as long as he was for dramatic purposes, hehe.
