no more perfect attendance
Apr. 2nd, 2002 11:54 amI was so proud of the box on my evaluation where my boss wrote, "Brenda has never been late to work!" Well, that is no longer true. Crippled by the headache I have had for two weeks, I forgot to set the alarm last night. I managed to get here by 9, so I am just going to work through lunch to make up for it. Claritin has reduced the headache to a dull throbbing. :P I try to only take one a day, since a nighttime dose results in scary dreams about terrorists, but I am going to have to take one tonight if this is the best it gets. :P
So, about my New Orleans trip. It was so good to spend some time with Em. We went to the zoo, and walked around in her neighborhood looking at houses, and visited Daniel's dorm, and had daiquiris. :) We went to Easter Vigil mass. I am glad I had the experience. It was a very emotional evening, because Emily started crying when she got to take the Eucharist for the first time, and then we all started crying. Even the eucharistic minister was crying. It reminded me so much of how I felt when I "became" Reformed... the feeling of finding the true truth, and finding my place in it. Like God had used everything in my life and my past to bring me here. Like finally coming home. So I knew how she felt. It was a very happy time. :) The only bad spot in the trip was our stop at a horrible Pizza Hut in Canton, Mississippi, where they were out of everything we wanted to eat, and then waited an hour to place our order. We filled up a comment card. :P
I want to go outside! :( It's so pretty, and tomorrow it's going to be cold again. I will have to content myself with walking across to Building B to get some lunch.
