shake it Cali
Mar. 6th, 2003 02:45 pmWell, this has been a roller-coaster day so far. I went to an early lunch with all the other admins in the department. It turned out to be a goodbye lunch for the lady whose job I had when I temped here! I had no idea that she was leaving, so it was kind of a shock. The other admins want me to bid her job. I thought about it briefly, but I prefer my current job to that one- it's a bilingual position, working with native Spanish speakers, and I remember how stressed I was just trying to keep up. Suddenly I'm feeling more appreciative of my own job. :)
As soon as I got back, Lawson and I called the travel agent and booked our flight to California! So it's official. In three months, I am off to the West Side to commiserate with Jessica, Jonathan, and Dania. Yay! Now that it's a sure thing, I feel more relaxed.
Last night was the last Wednesday Bible study for a while. These studies never seem to last long enough. :( I had a nice time afterwards talking to Evan and his friend from work, whom he has brought with him a couple of times. Tonight I think I'll go to my own church's Bible study.
Kathy has given up eating out for Lent, which basically means that I'm giving it up too. :P It was already difficult to find someone to go to eat with on Friday nights, and now it's going to be pretty much impossible. I know I don't have to go out, but the anticipation of a fun evening makes Friday go by much faster. Sigh.
I love this icon because Gandalf looks so funny. He's got a great suspicious expression. :)
