Doesn't it feel like today should be Friday?

So tomorrow is a national day of mourning for Ronald Reagan. I have been really touched watching the coverage of all the people coming to his memorial. I wonder how long it'll be before we have another President who brings people together like that. I was too young to understand at the time, but hearing about his Presidency now, I'm amazed by how much support he had. It would be nice to have that kind of unifying confidence again.

Anyway, I think they might give him a holiday. When I told my boss this, she pointed out, "They didn't make a holiday for Kennedy." To which I replied, "Why not?" I'm all for more holidays. I say we honor every President with his own individual holiday. An extra forty-two days off a year! Woo hoo!

Last night I gave in and went (with Evan in tow) to the Bath & Body Works sale. His verdict on many of the lotions was that they smelled like Robitussin. I got a few things for other people, and for myself, a travel-sized set of Cotton Blossom and a set of Gardenia Lily (they're retiring it, Jessica!). As I checked out, the cashier told me the sale runs through July and there will be more stuff put on sale later. Oh gosh, please don't tell me that. Anyway, I immersed myself in the Gardenia Lily and I smell very nice today, if I do say so myself.

I miss Jen. I had a bizarre dream last night in which I called her to tell her something important, and she informed me I'd called and told her the same thing two hours earlier. Basically I'd been doing and saying all sorts of stuff without my knowledge. It was creepy.

Back to work now.
