Because you want to know all this.

Happy birthday, Rebecca! We love you! :D (I'm still determined to meet you this year.)
Evan and I had a very nice time together last night. I was feeling pudgy since I'd only exercised once this week, so we went for a walk, despite the threat of rain. It was creepily quiet and peaceful, with little traffic and no one else out walking. When we were at the furthest point from my apartment, it started pouring. I didn't have an umbrella or even a hair tie for my hair, so we just laughed and started jogging back. All told, we ran almost half the trip back, which is a huge deal for me since I'm the world's worst runner. Evan, however, ran track in high school and was a good coach for me. :) It was fun. When we got home, I got cleaned up and then Jessica called! I talked to her until I had exceeded my allotted minutes for the day, and then joined Evan in watching Frasier. We hadn't seen it in years, but it was the last one. I also devoured some angel food cake since I was hungry from the running. It was just a nice night. :)
This will be a very Kathy-and-Daniel-centric weekend...which I guess I should get used to. Daniel is graduating college tonight, so I'm going to the ceremony with the families. Tomorrow morning I have to meet Jamie (Kathy's sister and maid of honor) for a morning of making bridal shower invitations. Then Daniel's family is having a graduation cookout. I hoped Evan could come with me, but he has to work. :( Anyway, I also have my own fun plans, which I'll save for Monday so I won't be repeating myself.
Oh gosh. I just read my church e-mail, and my friend Ashley (the one who just got married)'s mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer. How devastating. Please pray for her if you think of it! Her name is Donna.

Date: 2004-05-14 09:22 am (UTC)Sounds like a fun night. I remember the first time I ran with Chris...I was visiting Indiana (very low altitude) from Wyoming (very high altitude) and Chris was laughing at me as I complained, "The air's so heavy here!" I could hardly run at all because I felt like I was drowning in the air. It took me months to get used to the low altitude. Yeah, you wanted to know all that!
I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's mom! I'll definitely pray about it!

Date: 2004-05-14 09:33 am (UTC)I'm sure altitude changes take getting used to. I went to Denver once, and I felt strange the whole time. I've always lived in flat places. :)
Thanks for praying!
