Happy birthday, kiwiriaMaria! I hope it's been a good day!

For the first time in months, I did some scrapbooking last night. I've really been in the mood to create something, so it felt good to cut and paste. :) I worked on my book of me and Evan from meeting to engagement. If I finish it by the wedding, maybe we can display it on a table at the reception! I'd like to get more done on it tonight, but that's not going to happen. We're having our first pre-marital counseling session. I'm looking forward to it and am curious about what we're going to do. Robert said to bring our Bibles, which is a good sign. :)

Changes are coming closer at work. The managers are still interviewing for the two extra coordinator positions. We decided this morning how everyone will be arranged, office-space wise. I'm going to move two cubicles down to be closer to one of my bosses, since it looks like I won't be working for the other one once the new people come (right now I support two people). No one has told me anything for sure, but that's what I suspected anyway. It'll be weird to be in a new cubicle, but after three years, a change of scenery might be nice. I'm just afraid I won't be busy enough once my workload is cut in half. I hate to sit around looking bored (I say as I type an LJ entry).

Bad censorship: One of our radio stations that plays Avril Lavigne's song "My Happy Ending" edits the language so that one of the lines says, "All the fish that you do." It cracks me up. That's like when they edit action movies on TV so that the characters say totally nonsensical things, like "I'm gonna kick your pie."

You're the color blue. You have the three c's in
life--you're cool, caring and confident.
Trustworthy and honest, people are naturally
attracted to you. You're unusually optimistic,
but that makes life all the better. You're an
imaginative person who loves sleeping and
dreaming. Hard-working and determined, you
excell in school. You're everybody's favorite,
and this is because you have this undefined
richness in your personality and attitude.
Mild-tempered and stable. Not to mention very
intelligent. Along with the fact that you're
conservative, you're worried about the
environment. So basically, you're a generous,
dependable and devoted--just the kind of person
everybody needs. Wouldn't it be great if
everybody in the world were like you?

What color are you? (Amazingly detailed & accurate--with pics!)
brought to you by Quizilla

Ooh! What's your icon of?

Hilton's actually HIRING people so the normal people aren't overworked? -gasps in surprise- =) I guess they must have saved money by making the atriums 70s-riffic.

P.S.- Did you know that my old boss Scott left the company 2 weeks ago? Do you know who the records manager is now?

The icon is Han Solo & Princess Leia - I can't tell if its from Empire or Jedi though. Who has Scotts job? That evil Andy guy?

I don't think so. I have NO idea who the Corp Records Manager is. I've tried to call Andy a few times but have never gotten an answer. I would call the Memphis Records gals but they all hate me for no reason.

I'll snoop around some & email you whatever I find out. :)

Yeah, Han and Leia but I don't know which movie.

Yes. Oh, they are SO 70s-riffic. It's painful. I keep saying they look like Doug from Trading Spaces designed them.

I did hear Scott was leaving. I have no idea what's going on with all that - Stacy will probably have better sources. :)

The Han & Leia pic is from The Empire Strikes Back. :)

I've got the scoop- I got in touch with Andy yesterday (who's been super busy as he's been doing Scott's job since Scott left). Andy's doing Scott's job but no promotion. Apparently they're going to "see where the department is at the end of the year" before they decide to promote him. Personally I think they're just yanking his chain. He should get that promotion but I doubt it since they like to not give the records dept what it deserves.

I get in that "gotta create something" mood myself sometimes, only I'm not as often successful in satisfying it. I'm glad you were able to.

I'm really curious about the premarital counseling; you should post your thoughts about it when you get into it. My friend Mike ([livejournal.com profile] wyldsteed) is going through that right now, and for him it's been more of a class on what the Bible says about marriage than anything else. I'd have hoped it'd be more interactive for him and his fiancee, but Bible teaching is obviously necessary too.

Workloads are like goldfish--they expand to fill the hours you have. Generally. (-:

I didn't know Mike was getting married! I'll let all of you know how it goes. I hope it's not just about Biblical roles, since we've read several books on that already and it feels pretty old hat.

Yeah, he's engaged to Chrystal, a gal he met at a Bible study I went to. (-: This is the entry I finally convinced him to write about his proposal, if you're curious. I'm going to drive over to the other side of the state in November to be in the wedding; I'll take lots of pictures.

I work for 2 bosses too. I'm bored enough as it is, I can't imagine if one of them disappeared. I'd have to find another job!

You are so clever to do scrapbooking. I have thought about making an album for jonathan but I have to actually motivate myself and go and get the materials. I would love to see some of your stuff one day :)

Nice description of you as the colour blue :)

LOL! That's a good one. I was trying to think of some examples. Evan would know plenty.

Thank you :) I had a great day except that it started way too early, so I'm now ready to go to bed. Ah, the joys of too much acting and too little sleeping ;)

If you cry at your premarital counseling, you'll know it's working! It's the best thing you'll ever do (hopefully).

first, i was captured by your user icon of han & leia. then, i checked your lj user info out. you have a cat named gandalf! then, in checking out your uber-cute journal, i see the mention of smallville in one of your entries. i'm a huge fan (although i read that you just started possibly watching it). i'm adding you on, and i totally understand if your friends page is too overwhelming to reciprocate. :)

All the fish.. lmaooo. That's funny!

And yay for scrapbooking! I used to be all into artsy, quiet creative .. *things*, but lately I just can't bring myself to SIT long enough! I get the urge, I gather my supplies.. and then I'm bored! lol. =(

I can relate. It takes me so long to take out all my supplies that I'm sometimes too tired to do anything with them! LOL.
