It's still raining here. There was a bad storm yesterday evening, much to the chagrin of my sister and her birthday bash at my parents' house. However, her 30 or so guests weren't deterred by the rain, so she was happy. (My brother whispered to me as we took refuge in the garage, "Looks like another one of Debra's 'small parties'.")

Speaking of my brother, I am now going to brag on him a little. He's competing in a Ducks Unlimited archery event this weekend. In his qualifying event a couple of weeks ago, he beat out the #6 kid in the nation, as well as many adults. He's 14 years old. I told him he's going to be Legolas someday. :) He's always struggled with school and other such things, so I'm glad he found something he's really good at. I am proud of him.

Bun will be coming to visit me again soon! :) I'm going to take him while my family goes to Florida at the end of June. Surprisingly, Kathy is also looking forward to his arrival. I think she misses her cat. Anyway, we discovered that he'll be with us on the day of MaryElaine's bridal shower, which we're having at the apartment. So we may involve him in some of the games. (Instead of "pin the tail on the donkey," we can play "put the veil on the bunny.") :)

There were other things I wanted to write about, but they've all disappeared now. Oh, well.

We need some rain here. Send some over from Tennessee please? We are in a drought almost. I think once the rain hits the mountains it disappears and then there's nothing left for us. :( As it looks now there will be a water shortage here this summer. :(
Cool about your brother--agree with Lawson, olympics could be on the horizon. But watch out if he says "here, Bren, can you put this apple on top of your head for a sec..." :)

Yeah, I stay far away when he's shooting. :)
Where are you- North Carolina? It seems like you would get our rain, too, since it moves west. Although maybe it's too far north by then for it to get to you.

I live in Greensboro, North Carolina. We should get the rain, but I guess either Virginia gets it...or a lot of it gets drained as it goes over the mountains...dunno...although today it looks a little overcast again--let's see if that produces any rain. :)
