New pictures! Yay!

It took 2 hours, but my car tags are up to date now. So that stress is over. It is by grace alone that I never got caught with tags seven months out of date. Amazing.

This will be another full weekend. Tomorrow is our annual canoe trip to the Spring River in Arkansas (where the labels on the canoes say Hardy, AK). We go every year with Kathy's church. Her parents are the youth directors there, and they do it mainly for the youth, but our contingent of older people keeps growing. Ryan is going to be my canoe partner again, which I'm a little apprehensive about. Last year we discovered that we do not have good canoe. When I wanted to go left over the rapids, he took us right. When everyone else was going right, he took us straight down the middle. We got stuck more than anyone else. By the time we docked, we were so furious at each other that I thought we'd never speak again. I laugh about it now, but at the time, I was so angry. :) I agreed to go with him again on the condition that we work out our canoeing problems beforehand. So hopefully, we can compromise and it'll be more enjoyable this year. :)

Anyway, Em is coming again this weekend, for the trip and for our bridesmaids' luncheon with MaryElaine on Sunday. We're still unsure as to where the luncheon will be, as MaryElaine's mom has rejected almost every restaurant in the city. Apparently she cannot eat Mexican, Italian, or any chicken, pasta, or cheese dishes. Kathy and I have reconciled ourselves to a lunch of fruit at MaryElaine's house. :)

More to say, have I? Not really.

Your picture is so model-like. :)

Thanks for writing! I like your entries. And I'm kind of feeling restless for some reason. Nervous, almost.

I'm too sexy for my camera

Yeah, I was actually being silly and trying to do mock-model poses. I have a funny one where I'm making kissy faces, but I'm afraid to post it lest someone take it seriously. :) I wish this one were clearer. My camera is pretty low-quality.

Yay! I am glad you like my entries. :) I'm sorry you feel nervous. I hope things are okay. ;)

Ooooh... I like your default picture! It's the best brenda-pic... :)

Anyway... MaryElaine's mom reminds me of someone... Hmmm... Who could it be??? Jeremy perhaps? :P

Thanks! :) I guess it helps to take the picture in a room with light, rather than a room with the blinds drawn. :)

Eh...I don't know. I think this has more to do with being set in your ways than being picky. :)

awww, cute Brenda pics. :) Maybe I should post my pic sometime instead of the pikachu thing...hmmm.
I saw Biff the bunny in the backyard again today!!!!! :) He's back--yay! :) After my nephew had scared him away of course. Biff didn't come too close, he was sort of out in the middle of the grass, far, far away from the evergreen behind us where he used to stretch out. Maybe if I put some carrots or something out there he would come back? (a peace offering for forgiveness for the little terror that chased him away:)

Yes, I'm sure the bunny would like a carrot. Or apple slices- that's Bun's favorite food. :)

oops, forgot to comment on one of my fave artists that you quoted above. :) She has a couple of versions of Sweet Misery too. I should burn you a copy of her Broken Bracelet CD...its what she had when she was indy, before her producer discovered her. I liked it a lot. And many of the songs are the same from her regular CD.
Hey! I just noticed that you have AIM--do you use it a lot? It seems everyone has AIM now--I feel so unspecial. I remember the days when everyone just chatted through yahoo, and there I was on my lonesome ol' AoL. Anyway, may I add Brenda the Bunny Slayer to my buddy list on AOL?

Sure, add me! :) I don't get on that much, since I spend so much time at the computer at work and really don't want to when I go home. But sometimes I get on later at night, when I'm downloading songs. (I'm not a Bunny Slayer, by the way. I'm a Bunny Protector. :) )

If you want to burn that CD for me, that would be awesome! If it's not too much trouble. :) Do you know the story behind the name Broken Bracelet? It's pretty cool.

I know that she used Broken Bracelet in one of her songs....it seems that at one time I heard what it meant, or read it, what does it mean (cause I totally forget)? :)
Bunny protecter? Even of the little pink bunnies from easter? ;)

The story is, somebody she knew in the music business gave her this woven bracelet. It apparently had belonged to someone who recently became famous- I want to say Jewel, but I'm not sure. Anyway, they told her not to take it off, and that when it broke, she would get her big break. (no pun intended.) She wore it for a really long time, and then one day it broke. The next day she met her producer and he wanted to sign her. So she called the CD Broken Bracelet. There's a much better version of this story on her website- I'm sure I've botched it. :)

Oh yeah. I forgot about the pink bunnies. (whistles and looks at the ceiling)

cool. :) I didn't hear that before. I thought it was some metaphor. :) I just burned the CD (first cd I burned with this burner, believe it or not--I dont have a CD player in my car, so I never had the reason to burn music before I guess). Where should I send it? Wait a sec...I will email you and ask you where I should send it...

The weird thing about my burner is that it has a "print CD cover button" but it doesn't work! *boggles* maybe it is one of those "you can do this if you download such and such or purchase such and such...ah well. :)

Eh . . .

Michelle Branch rocks (no pun intended ;D).

Canoeing sounds like much fun! "When I was a kid" (hahaha) I took the canoeing class in our church's VBS two years in a row and LOVED it. We did some really cool semi-dangerous canoeing. I love canoeing on moving water . . . much more interesting than a glassy little lake. Easier on the joints, too.

Yes, canoeing can be dangerous! :) I agree- river canoeing is a lot more fun than lake canoeing.
