My day is going better now than it was earlier. So that's good news. I was really tired, having stayed up till 1:30 in the morning reading. I hardly ever do that, so when I do, it makes me pretty irritable. (Which I guess makes it my own fault, but I don't regret it. :))

This should be a fun night. I have to stay with my brother tonight, since my parents and sister are out of town. (Only in my family would a 14-year-old need babysitting.) My mother said she'd leave money for us to go to dinner and a movie, so we immediately decided to go see the new Austin Powers. And Evan's going to come with us, which is happy. :) He and my brother are the biggest AP fans I know. They have both movies practically memorized (and I've never seen either one all the way through). I just read that Fred Savage is in this one, so that's enough reason for me to go see it. (*cartoon hearts floating around head*) :) I'm also looking forward to spending some time with my brother. He's becoming much more congenial as he gets older.

We were planning a goodbye party for BJ and Robin (my college/career minister and his wife) on Saturday night, but we found out another group had beaten us to it. The party is at a girl's house whom none of us in the group know, so we can't go to it. We're kind of bummed about that. However, I'm thinking a pool party at Kathy's will make up for it. :)

I've been seeing the funniest stories in random journals lately.

delphica tells about a time when she was almost eaten alive by deer, and

danwes describes his close encounter with John Mayer in a parking lot. It makes me want to post something funny that happened to me, but I can't think of anything, other than my 16th birthday when the Elvis impersonator came to my band practice field.

Question of the Day: In a song, does the word "complicated" always have to be rhymed with "frustrated"? Yes, they go together well, but aren't there other words? Waited? Implicated? Discombobulated?
