a little partying and a little whining
Aug. 8th, 2002 03:12 pmMy stomach hurts. It's been hurting for over a week now. Every time I eat something, it hurts. It's not an ache, and it's not a sharp pain. It's an irritated sort of pain, like when you drink orange juice on an empty stomach. I'm getting tired of it. Does anyone know what this could be?
That said, I will tell about the bachelorette party. It was pretty fun. We ate dinner at Elvis Presley's. MaryElaine's cousins made a list of things for her to do (not bad things, just embarrassing things), so we wandered up and down Beale for a couple of hours, looking for people willing to cooperate. Some selections from the list: give directions to someone who doesn't need them; get someone to sing an Elvis song to you; propose to a horse (the ones that pull carriages downtown); pretend you don't know who Elvis is and get someone to explain to you; get a cute guy's phone number (then we took a picture with him- extra credit). After all that, Kathy and Jamie decided it would be fun to do karaoke, so they sang one song at Alfred's and then we went home. It was fun, but I was pretty tired from the collective lack of sleep I have experienced this week.
Weddings incite all kinds of personal anxiety. I'm not going to say much about that right now. I am determined to not let the anxiety overshadow me being happy for my friend and rejoicing with her.
Yep, stomach still hurting. This is not fun.
