This is the first time I have attempted to make a quiz! I thought nostalgic Halloween stuff might be fun today. If you don't participate in Halloween, please don't take offense at this. It's just a silly quiz. :)
1. What were some of your favorite Halloween costumes as a child?
I always had great costumes. One year I wore my pink leotard from ballet and attached a paper rainbow and a tail to it, and went as Cheer Bear. One year I was Punky Brewster. I think the best, though, was when I was eight. My mom braided my hair around a sticking-up coat hanger and gave me a fake sword and I was Pippi Longstocking. :)
2. What was your favorite Halloween candy?
Smarties (because they were good and lasted forever) and Almond Joys (because I just loved them). Now I'm all about the pumpkins, though.
3. Have you ever been the victim (or the player) of a scary Halloween prank?
Not really. But I'm sure many people have, so that's why I included it. :) My next-door neighbor's dad used to sit on the porch dressed as a scarecrow, then sit very still and jump out at kids when they came to the door. I always knew about it, though. :)
4. When did you stop trick-or-treating?
I think I was 12 or 13. I went again one year when I was in high school, with a bunch of band people, and I still feel kind of bad about that.
5. Which is better: candy corn with the yellow bottom, or candy corn with the brown bottom? Or am I just crazy?
Brown bottom. I can taste a difference, even if no one else can. :)
That's all I can think of. Go to town. :)

One year I was a pirate, but I can't remember any of my childhood costumes. The last time I dressed up for a party was last year (and the year before), and I was Inspector Clouseau from the Pink Panther.
2. What was your favorite Halloween candy?
I really like spree and candy corn. Also, anything chocolate would rock... Mmmm... sixlets!
3. Have you ever been the victim (or the player) of a scary Halloween prank?
Not really, but I have terrified my share of people outside of Halloween (including one time I made my sister cry TWICE with the same prank on consecutive nights.)
4. When did you stop trick-or-treating?
I was supposed to stop??? That would explain the funny looks... :P
5. Which is better: candy corn with the yellow bottom, or candy corn with the brown bottom? Or am I just crazy?
a.) Candy corn with the brown bottom has gone bad. Throw it away and buy some with a yellow bottom
b.) It's possible, but not likely.
c.) Yes, I realize there were only two questions, therefore no "c". Yes, I realize that candy corn NEVER goes bad... It's just my lame attempt at being funny, so smile and walk away. ;)

Date: 2002-10-04 12:38 pm (UTC)I was a pumpkin once. My dad sewed the costume and then they stuffed me with newspapers and I wore green tights, I think. I was about six, and I won the contest for best costume (it was a party at our church, believe it or not). I won a yellow plastic boot cup which I LOVED, but the edges were kind of jagged and sharp so it was painful to drink from.
2. What was your favorite Halloween candy?
Chocolate, definitely. I love all the fun-size candy bars. Special Dark is muy yum.
3. Have you ever been the victim (or the player) of a scary Halloween prank?
Nothing major, except when people try to scare you when you trick-or-treat. Once a scarecrow laying on the ground was a guy and he jumped up and scared us. Another time when I was really little, the lady answering the door was dressed as a witch and had like a cackling noise in a recorder, so I was very scared, but I tried to play it brave. I just stood there smiling but wanting to get out of there so bad (for some reason we were in the house...I don't know if we knew the people or what).
4. When did you stop trick-or-treating?
Probably in junior high.
5. Which is better: candy corn with the yellow bottom, or candy corn with the brown bottom? Or am I just crazy?
Yellow bottom, for sure. What's this business with brown for that kind of candy? It's just wrong.

2. What was your favorite Halloween candy?
Chocolate
3. Have you ever been the victim (or the player) of a scary Halloween prank?
I dressed up like a ninja and stalked my sister and her friends (they were seniors in high school and were just going to school friends houses and acting silly) and seriously scared them 4 times in one night. In reference to that, did you know that when one is really frightened, sometimes you can't scream the first couple of times you open your mouth to try. I had that effect twice that night. That was really the only prank that I ever played like that.
4. When did you stop trick-or-treating?
Once I was in my teens
5. Which is better: candy corn with the yellow bottom, or candy corn with the brown bottom? Or am I just crazy?
yellow bottom is much better, and yes you are crazy, we're all crazy, but we're the happy kind so it's all good.

Date: 2002-10-07 07:51 am (UTC)I vaguely remember dressing up as a gypsy with lots of fake jewelry as a small child. My favorite costume ever was a compromise with an old boyfriend. I wanted to be Jack and Jill, but he insisted that it be after we fell down the hill with fake blood, gashing head wounds, and broken pails.
2. What was your favorite Halloween candy?
Candy corn, sixlets and those oddly flavored tootsie rolls.
3. Have you ever been the victim (or the player) of a scary Halloween prank?
Halloween? No, but allow me to recommend the timeless prank of forking someone's yard.
4. When did you stop trick-or-treating?
I also went once as a high school student dressed up as a harlot. No regrets here, though. It was a blast.
5. Which is better: candy corn with the yellow bottom, or candy corn with the brown bottom? Or am I just crazy?
I kind of like the pumpkin shaped ones...
