inexplicable joy

I have been aglow all afternoon from my R.C. Sproul luncheon. It was great. I heard his wonderful message on the meaning of salvation. I met some nice ladies at my table. I got to eat cheesecake. What more could I ask for?

Do any of you watch Letterman? Last night they had a great "Fun With Bullhorns" segment, where Biff wandered around, loudly harassing people. He went to a hot dog stand and yelled, "Hot dog. Hot dog. Hot dog." repeatedly through the bullhorn until they gave him a hot dog. LOL.

This file-sticker-ing project at work is really cranking up. A very cool girl from the records department has come up to help us, and we talk about Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter as we work. Which makes it more fun, but it's still an exhausting project. They're also going to hire some temps, for which I am very grateful.

I have other things I wanted to talk about, but now I don't have the energy to get into them. Tomorrow, I guess.

In half an hour I am leaving to go get my cat!

You can even use different names based on the degree of "badness":

'Mithrandir we called him in elf-fashion,' said Faramir, 'and he was content. Many are my names in many countries, he said. Mithrandir among the Elves, Tharkun to the Dwarves; Olorin I was in my youth in the West that is forgotten, in the South Incanus, in the North Gandalf; to the East I go not.'

I just started laughing in my office because your icon reminded me of that scene from Friends--one of my favorite scenes ever. He's all lunging and stuff while "going commando"..hahaha

I guess I have it REALLY good here because I'd never even question whether I was allowed to go. There's a lot of flexibility here and my boss is very laid back, so we go run errands and take long lunches whenever we need to.

But we don't have as many well-known Christian speakers coming to town. :) The Bible belt has it's perks.
