walkin' in a winter wonderland
Feb. 10th, 2003 10:05 amThere were many things I wanted to post about this weekend, but I never had time to get online. :)
On Friday night, Kathy and I ordered a Domino's pizza because we wanted to try the new cinnamon Dots. They received our approval. :) Then Daniel came over and we watched Ocean's Eleven while I worked on a Secret Project. After the movie, I watched some more of the tape
dakoda sent me a while ago. Cloey, I was laughing so hard at the LOTR action figure re-enactment, I was practically crying. :) (My favorite part was when your huge cat sniffed Frodo, and then Sam was like, "Oh Mr. Frodo! I wasn't there to help you!" LOL...) I watched Late One Night, too, and I'm planning to watch The Moment After tonight. Yay!
Warning: Domino's Dots apparently cause hallucinations, because I then had one of the weirdest dreams I've had in years. The whole dream took place in the Harry Potter universe. Apparently, I was Hermione. ("It's the curly hair," said MaryElaine when I told her about this.) Some sort of conference was going on, so hundreds of people were there, including several of you (I definitely remember seeing
alissamarie). After the seminars, we went back to the dorms and a bunch of other people were there, including JC Chasez (I totally blame that on you,
tingilya :)), who kissed me for no apparent reason. Later, I somehow got lost and needed to get back into the wizarding world, so I called for help and John Ritter (of Three's Company fame) came to rescue me. That's all I remember, but that's more than enough. :)
On Saturday night, we had MaryElaine & Royce and Ryan over for dinner. (Gandalf enjoyed dinner, too.) We spent most of the evening playing PS2. It was relaxing.
On Sunday, I came out of church and it was snowing like crazy! (I noticed that the fountain at Saddle Creek was frozen, which was very cool.) Unfortunately, I had to do laundry in the afternoon, so I wandered around the snowy complex looking for an available washing machine. This made me very tired and cold, so I then took a nap with the cat. :)
This is already too long, so I will stop here.

Date: 2003-02-10 08:21 am (UTC)About your dream... I had a dream this past week where I was telling a generic friend a story. The story was about me and something that had happened at school where I learned magic. I woke up, and realized that my mind was creating a Harry Potter movie, and I was Harry. Maybe there's something in the Memphis water that makes us dream of nerdy kids with round glasses... :P
That fountain at Saddle Creek has been frozen for quite some time now. I mentioned it to my Dad about a week ago, and we talked about how the pipes are probably special so that they don't burst when it freezes (since the fountain IS outdoors, afterall.)
The snow was cool... That was actually the backdrop at Benihana (at around noon on Sunday). I spent just about as much time looking out the window dreamily as I did watching the chef. Too bad it didn't stick around... it just wasn't cold enough outside. :(

Date: 2003-02-10 08:28 am (UTC)I had Cinnapie a few weeks ago, and I preferred it to the Dots. It was also better than the CiCi's apple cinnamon pizza, which is good but can be too heavy at times.
Yeah, I wish the snow had stayed, but maybe we'll have more soon. This is the first winter I can remember when we've had snow on a semi-regular basis. It's kind of nice.

Date: 2003-02-10 09:11 am (UTC)Harry Potter dreams
Date: 2003-02-10 09:06 am (UTC)Mine was about me and all the characters and we were all at a swimming pool. Harry was carrying Ginny into the pool down the ladder (I have no idea how he was holding onto the ladder and Ginny at the same time) and I walked over to Hermione and her friends and they wanted to play a game. That's all I remember.
Re: Harry Potter dreams
Date: 2003-02-10 09:12 am (UTC)Yeah, I'm glad I'm not alone. There was also a part of the dream when I was thinking about my (Hermione's) crush on Harry and wondering if he would ever notice, but I know that's a direct result of too much fanfic. :)

Date: 2003-02-10 10:31 am (UTC)lol I'm glad you're enjoying that LOTR thing, it's so stupid it's hilarious! That fat cat was Solomon, the one I'm always yelling at for following me around lol
And if you think that one is great, just wait, he's already working on his T2T one (he's just waiting on me to get more action figures lol).

Date: 2003-02-10 12:25 pm (UTC)I also liked your other skits on the tape, especially the Dance Instructor one. At first I was like, "What the heck?..." and then I heard, "If you need a dance instructor, call..." You guys are awesome. :)

Date: 2003-02-10 12:31 pm (UTC)heehee, I love that dance skit! I don't even remember why or how we came up with it. We filmed that the day after my 16th Birthday. Back in the day, heehee:D
And about Late One Night, Larry only had one good comeback in it, and I use it all the time: "I got ears, man!"
I just thought it was a spiff way to respond to people sometimes lol
:)
I am so jealous of your snow. How come it never snows when I am there, but as soon as I leave it doesn't stop snowing!
I miss you!!!!!
love the Brens!
